Tell us about yourself and your car! if you have a pic, put the link here!!!
I own 4 muscles: 65 GTO, 67 GTO, 67 Tempest, 72 Chevelle SS
The Chevelle is in the bodyshop right now and I can't wait to see it on the other side. I'll be sure to post pics for everyone.. I scored it in May at a salvage yard... they were gonna crush it!?!?! it had been stolen, wrecked, recovered and brought to the junkyard. I've been working on it all summer, and now its finally getting paint. The bodyshop matched the paint code on the cowl tag. Its getting the original Silver mist paint with black SS stripes. I just had the comfy bucket seats recovered in black vinyl with the original pattern. They look great and feel even better! I also bought new 275/60r15 tires for the rear today! the fronts are 235/60r15, rims are the SS/z-28 style 5 spoke 15x7 factory wheels. I just stripped and repainted mine with fresh caps, they look choice! Its a 350, not numbers matching, but I think its rebuilt because it has fresh paint and runs very good. Sounds like a hot cam in there too... factory manifolds, new exhaust, it sounds mean.. it also has full MSD ignition (6a box, billet distributor, blaster coil) ... SS gauges, console, horseshoe shifter, th350 trans, disc brakes (they need rebuilding that's next) tilt steering, Cowl hood, the rear is a 10 bolt 2.73 peg-leg, but I have a 12 bolt 4.10 posi I'm going to install soon...
Everyone post about your car!!! (imports please spare us, we don't care, unless you have a SBC engine swap, go post on superstreet.com) "scrape every nook and cranny over and over, and catch the crud in an inverted garbage can lid or you'll get it all over the ground, track it into the house, and your mom will yell at you." i have a 1973 chevelle.
not one of the popular ones but still a great car to drive. only problem is that you dont see that many around. it has a 350 with a 274xe cam, comp headers, pertronix hei dist., talor wires, 750 vac sec holley, performer intake, 10 bolt with an eaton posi and 3.73's. th350 with a shift kit controlled by a megashifter. 15x7 fronts with 235/60/15, 15x8 backs with 275/60/15. the interior has a set of swivel bucket seats. the paint needs to be redone but dont have the cash, main concern is to have it running great because thats what these cars were made for. to drive. http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL136/1378242/2623843/31882895.jpg

I've been working on a 1975 Vega GT V8 conversion for the past few months now. I am down to getting the radiator tomorrow. With luck, the thing will be road worthy for the rest of the muggy midwestern summer. I've got a fairly mild 350 small block with a Edelbrock performance package on it (i.e. carb, intake, cam, lifters). It's still enough to power my pocket rocket fairly well. Especially running through a Muncie 4 speed and 10 bolt posi rear end. I found the car in the middle of an Illinois corn field parked in some old ladies garage with it's rear end sticking out in the elements for the last 10 years. Luckily, however, the car was in really good shape and her son was the original owner. The car has 65,000 actual miles on it and only 3 decent rust spots (amazing for a Vega in Illinois). The total price to pry it away...$450. The price of a custom built V8 vega radiator...about the same. Ironic isn't it?
Next, it is on to a semi-Yenko type clone slash Starsky and Hutch stiped paint scheme. That will hopefully blend together classic copper(ala 1971 Monte Carlo), metallic burgundy(original Vega), and satin black(big ass stripe) in a way that may, or may not, work.

Hello,I have several projects going. My main project is currently my 78 El Camino, wich used to be powered by a 350 with a few upgrades. It now is in the process of recieving a 383 stroker built from the 540 horse buildup.I have the block done and new crankand Summits H beam rods.I am currently waiting on the probe pistons, and variuos other parts. This car was just painted 2003 Electron Blue with black stripes. The rear has been built with a posi unit and 3.73 gears, the trans has B&M shift kit along with a 3200 converter.I will probablly switch to an overdrive trans once the 383 is in place. My second toy is an 85 Buick Grand National with the motor being rebuilt about 12,000 miles ago. While we had the engine down we switched to a comp cams high energy cam a switched to a 3000 TCI converter it launches great, but now I have an overboost problem to correct, and it is in need of paint, but it kinda adds to the sleeper effect. No one expects it to run that good and look that rough.Last is my 70 GS 455 wich I have just this past week started working on again. It is basically stock, slightly hotter cam.The motor has been out of the car for over a year.Just put new gaskets in it todayand hopefully put the motor back in the car this week.
All of my projects are in need of something, but that is part of the fun.
I also own 12 other cars.2 66 Toronados, a 67 Toronado, 76 GMC dually,83 s10 pick up,86 Toronado,89 Trofeo, 89 Grand Marquis,91 Taurus SHO,94 cavalier,72 Chevelle,and a 81 Monte Carlo.
Too many projects not enough time or money.I will send some pics of my projects when I get them.

I'll hang with ya in the truck crowd. my dad and i are busy building a 66 chevy pickup long bed fleetside. We dropped it 4" in the front and 5" in the back. 3.73s inthe 12 bolt, zz4 with ported heads and ram air, 700r4 behind it. it has some fat meat all around it on torque thrust II's. my favorite addition has got to be the $500 thorley electric cut-outs. absolutely ingenious to be able to be sitting at a light, flip a switch, blow the doors off someone, and close them back up before ol smokey catches you! woo hoo!

1979 Trans Am, project..not started yet. Was thrown in on a 1500.00 package deal when I purchased my daily driver, a 1981 Firebird Esprit, not bad for a 2 for 1 special, yes one looks nice and they both run..wont take much..
1980 Formula, 50 % restored, waiting to get my husbands garage finished..I bought it 4 years ago and figure everything gets better with time ![]()
and of course my husbands 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom Deluxe...

i have an '83 Monte Carlo... i have just started a frame off resto. The 305ci / TH350 has been tossed aside for a 406ci sbc / 700R4. The body needs a little work but not a whole lot. while the boddy is off i plan to box the frame and stiffen it up a little. the motor is a 400 sbc punched .030 over, all forged internals, comp magnum hyd cam. crane 1.6 roller rockers sitting on to of ported factory 76cc 2.02/1.60 heads. pushing just over 400hp and 435 lbs-ft torque. the trans has been built with 2400 b&m stall and shift kit, along with tci servo and throttle plunger. (thanks CC for the idea!) the power is then transfered to the soon to be assembled 3.42 posi 9 inch through a custom aluminum drive shaft. Drive train is almost complete, just waiting on the frame off part of the project. Its my first frame off attempt, but im in it for the long haul....

85 Monte SC here - also my first attempt... Wish I could have afforded a real muscle car, but I'm doing my best to turn this into a "psuedo" muscle car, with a 70 Chevelle being the model for it.
Ditching the 305 for a 383 stroker with vortec heads, probably a th350, and 3.73s out back.
http://garage.twelve22.net/ for my cars; it needs to be updated when I get a chance.

Hello. My car is a 1978 Nova coupe. 62000 actual miles. Presently equipped with the good ol' six cylinder, 350 turbo, pb,ps and air-conditioning. Runs good, but hey, it's a six cylinder. I have two engines I presently am considering replacing the six with. One is a 4-bolt main 350 ci, 4 bbl and the other is a mildly cammed 454, Edlebrock manifold with a Holley 4bbl.
My problem lies in the fact that I am not sure the "big block" will fit into the engine bay and allow me to retain the air conditioning. This will be a street car so I do not want to remove all the nice things that go with a good street car, like AIR CONDITIONING. This is Alabama and it gets hot here! I realize that this engine is probably 150 lbs heavier than the 350 ci and 200 lbs or more than the six cylinder. Another point is, will the turbo 350 handle the 454 if driven mildly. I do not race and will just use this car to cruise on Sat/Sun evenings. This just seems like a heck of a lot of motor for this Nova. I am not interested in butchering up this car to make it fit. No headers, I want to use the stock exhaust manifolds with probably 2 1/2" pipes. I am going to paint this car the new GM color "out-of-the-blue" Great color. abe64

I have a 71 camaro that is tubbed and caged with ladder bars and coil overs. It has a 406 sbc with 13:1 compression, from carb to oil pan this is what it has. A 950 hp holley carb, a weiand Team-G intake, dart 200cc heads that have 2.08 int. and 1.625 ext. valves, 64cc combustion cambers and that have been nicely ported, a crane stud girdle, a Crower solid roller cam (303/312,666/666 lift with 1.6 comp pro magnum rockers, on a 103 lsa), a crower rev kit, a Edelbrock gear drive, full floater forged flat top pistons with Total Seal rings, manley 5.7 H-beam rods, a Crower 4340 steel crank, a Fluid dampner, a diamond scraper windage tray, and a Hamburger oil pan. And to top it off I just got a NOS big shot system. This is all backed up by a turbo 350 with all the Hughes performance goodies in it and a reverse manual valve body, and a 3500 stall, out back is a ford nine inch with 4.11's and a detroit locker. The only thing ford ever mad right. It has wilwood brakes all the way around and a number of other perforance goodies. It also has the airplane looking dash with 11 autometer guages.
This is just a little about my car, I just hope one day it will be in CC for everone to see. Also if you think I'm not doing something right in my combination let me know.
