I happen to be a big fan of imports, also. I'm going to quote the December 2001 issue of Car Craft:

Now before you get all riled up, know that we're not so naive as to think that we're invincible to every import car. We've been mopped up by enough modded Supras and RX-7s to know and respect their reputations on the street. Anyone driving a serious street machine is a friend of ours. But to the posers, wannabes, and jokers who impoersonate hot rodders, and perpetuate our already-bad reputation in the popular media, listen up: We're calling you out.

This is pretty much my view on the import situation. One of my favorite cars is the Mazda RX series, especially the RX-3, RX-4 and RX-7. I've also seen some very clean Civics with real performance mods instead of ricer crap. It just sucks for the serious import drivers that such idiots tearing around in gay CRX's are ruining their reputations.

It could all end if both sides just thought they were better off, but still respected the other side, while both making fun of the ricer scum that pollutes our streets.

The Fast And The Furious is the worst movie I have ever seen. And I hate it even more because of what it did to the car tuning world. Which sucks, because I kinda like Vin Diesel (XxX was pretty cool for a cheap modern James Bond imitation).

Now, does anyone agree with me, or is everyone 100% biased?

dude Vin Diesel is a homo and XXX are you joking me was alright ya that GTO was awesome but the movie was horrible, ok lets grind a rail with  a metal food pan and jump a 40 foot fence in a dirt bike with like no jump to go off, but you are right fast and the furious suck but that charger was nice.  

i totally agree. i don't care where a car came from or who made it. i just care about how to make it perform better. and there will never be a good movie about racing cars. except two lane blacktop and that was kinda boring...  

have u ever seen the chase seen i the movie bullit with a mustang gt and a charger. it is probably the best car chase/race scene ever u probably haven't seen it be cause it doesn't have a honda in it with a boomer muffler, a spoiler, and stickers.  

the chase scene in bullit was entertaining. i usually find chase scenes boring because they are staged.

yeah, i agree with you totally, as i posted in the other import discussion, as long as the person loves the car, and actually has some SUBSTANCE in it, GREAT, i just hate midrange toned exhaust on 4 and 6 cylinder engines, and UGLY wings. and i AM getting a little sick of seeing eveyrone driving civics. but yeah, retarded people who drive ricers give imports a bad name. everyone, i think EVERYONE forgets about European cars, ferarri, bmw, audi, stuff like that.... but they cost your soul.... so that could go in a whole other hating direction. i believe its all a matter of opinion. so yeha, haters hate, lovers love, and posers will be JUST THAT. posers.  

All people that try to go fast with front wheel drive cars are RICERS.  Supras, RX-7s, etc.(RWD) are not RICERS.   

Anyone who trys to go fast in a FWD car is a RICER.  RX-7s, Supras, Etc.(RWD) Cars are not.

 Just because a car is assembled in the USA does not make it an American car . Last night my wife and I assembled a new high chair for Junior , does that mean I designed it and profitted from it . NO . All of this money going offshore to Europe or Japan or Korea does not help the US economy one bit . You selfish Bastards who buy imports do it at the expense of your childrens future well being . Next thing you know Chinese prisoners are going to start building cars instead of Wal Mart items for the usual Chinese prisoner wage of 0$ per hour . Imports suck . I like how the Europee-ons and the Japanese are the most anti import societies on earth , yet they *** and moan when once in a while the US gets protectionist . It is a one way street into the US . I guess the changing demographics of the United States to a higher percentage of imported citizens from the third world , legal or otherwise , will keep us drowning in imports forever . The rest of the world has been trying to get us down to their level , I say they have succeeded . Not enough money in the bank ? Want a nicer house ? Not getting paid enough on your job ? No retirement ? Go drive your stinking import and call me crazy .  

CAR CRAFT is not about imports!!!!   WHo CARES about your Mazda Whatever???  REAL GEARHEADS are in this forum, and we care only about REAL MUSCLE  which is made in a REAL COUNTRY called USA!!!  There's plenty of other places to talk about your import...  just please not here.  If you're a REAL import enthusiast you'll realize that this is one of the very few forums we have for our musclecars and please don't try to hijack our forum.  Its not about what's better or what's worse, but CAR CRAFT is not about imports and I pray to the lord it never will be!!!

Your right . Car Craft is about American thunder . You know Toyota is trying to sleaze it's way into NASCAR .  I am not the biggest Jack Roush fan in the world , but he has expressed some outrage at the Japanese entering the  All American pastime . I love all these riceboys hanging out on the CC message boards . Keep marveling us with all of these amazing stories of Mitsublowshies running nines in the quarter mile with the A/C set on max , a dvd of Fast and Furious playing on the flatscreen in the dash and big shot of nos ( thats now a word !) blowing the "welds" on the intake . Is Circuit City a 21st century speed shop ?

I saw a funny thing the other day . The punk kid up the street has a primered HONDA , yet he had the Mothers polish out , he crawled UNDER the turd car  to polish his spiffy Stainless   muffler and tailpipe . This import crap is out of hand .
