one i'm not a mexican who wants a boomer muffler on a civic hb so #### you i would take a monster big block with the torque to twist the suspension, and another i'm not from california so i don't give a ####.

I would have to STRONGLY disagree with you that imports are not reliable in their stock form (especially toyotas.) I don't care if you were a mechanic for toyota, all I know is that my dad had a toyota pick-up for almost 17 years, but then he traded it in for a new toyota truck....never did he have a SINGLE problem with that truck. Don't get me wrong, I am strongly against this "import craze" too and all of the buzzing around here in so cal that goes on at night, but I know for a fact that these are great economy cars in their stock form. I have an '89 IROC-Z 350 TPI, and I know what muscle cars are about- they are great, you can't beat em'! But I would have to say, the only American cars I will ever buy will be classics. For daily driven economy/commuting/reliability, it is all about Japanese cars. Oh, and I thought I might add, toyotas are built in the U.S., so don't whine to me that we are losing jobs because they are all built in Japan. Next project here is a '71 Chevelle!- can't wait.

www.raceeng.com wiseco import pistons start at $409 sbc start at $509. eagle rods are $369 for hondas and $549 for sbc's. honda's don't really need new cranks as they come strong and light. now don't whip out your JCwhitney catalog and quote stupid low prices at me. find the price of equal quality components and you will see the difference.
why are you soooo angry? are you the guy we were beating up on on roosevelt blvd?
yes that 11 sec allmotor civc had no seats or panels in the hatch area, a cf hood, lenso drag wheels and slicks. he bought a used b18b block, a used p72 gsr head, and did the lsvtec conversion himself, a used apexi vafc-r, used agx's. its not perfect. i noticed a small oil leak below the head (didn't plug the oil hole in the head right). yes backyard and rigged but it went 11's.
its funny you say something like that because i just came up from my garage, where i was swapping oil pumps from my blown b17a block over to my new b18b block that i am building up for turbo (stock pistons and rods).
also those turbo's you call POS from the mustang svo are t3's with .48 a/r turbine housing and a .63 a/r compressor for auto cars. its the best turbo you can find in a junkyard.
dude i don't want to fight with you. you have issues. if you build cars you should have respect for anyone else who does the same.

The only reason imports are fast is because there a piece of *&%^ engine in a tomato can I only did Cokaine once, and that was only to learn the metric system

i don't understand what you are saying. but the civic hatch i called all-motor had no turbo or nitrous. just a 1.8l vtec pushing a little over 200whp.
i am seriously losing respect for this place.

You must lack some very important math skills dont you? I pay 25% more for 200% of the pistons u get! 60% more for 200% the rods u get! As for cranks, I dont have to replace mine unless I make in excess of 600hp, power figures u will hever see without running alcohol, and a crazy turbo, but then, u would need a new crank, so u would need to spend the money for a crank. Now pull ur head out of ur ass!
I am not angry about anything, I have yet to get beat b an import too! If u wanna see real FAST street cars, check out my friends site, he has a Camaro, full interior,511 Big Block and he runs a 9.04 on pump gas! The other car is a 355 Nova that runs 10.09 on pump gas, both on DOT tires, not slicks! Site is www.geocities.com/Novaracer2000 Those are real cars...

the b18b can take over 500hp on the stock crank
600hp / 5.7L= 105 hp/L
300hp / 1.8L= 167 hp/L
my buddy just drove 1200 miles to NC and put his car (turbo civic) on the dynojet, laid down 387hp @ 14psi and drove it home. no problems.
i don't understand why you keep attacking me. i think you are taking this way too personal. yes, you like gm's, i like all cars. i choose to build imports now. it doesn't me any better or worse than you. yet you insult me like you have some kind of grudge...

i would just like to say that whats the big deal? why does everybody get so PO'd about imports? i drive a 71 chevy nova, why... because i like muscle cars. But my best friend down the street drives a civic. we get along great, especially when we are around our cars. we both have different interests but still are able to respect each other and out cars. i just wish that every car guy would think kinda like this. why can't everybody just get along? a car is like an expression of self. respect it.

Well, lets put it like this, if someone has a decent looking ricer that can back up all the driver spits out their mouth, then ok, whatever. but i cant STAND FART CAN exhaust, and wings? ok, ive seen a few that are cool, BEFORE fast and the furiuos, but NOW like, the double spoilers and ritarded curves and aluminum ugly gay ####... and EVERYONE and their DOG has a ricer... ive seen more ricers in south dakota than i have in any state from here to D.C. or atlanta. its SICK. for the 10 g someone would spend on just BUYING the stock ricer... even used for cheaper... cmon, my dream has been to buy a 70 chevelle for 4k (they ARE OUT THERE in straight condition) and throw another few grand in the engine... i mean, ... i feel strongly abou tthis. lets put it like this. if someone spends the time and LOVE on their car , no matter what it is, it deserves respect (unless it has coffecan exhaust or a deformed wing) its the johnny-come-lateleys that deserved to be ignored. around here, with most imports, thats alllll i do. thats all it takes. turn your head away.

i understand what you guys are saying about the posers. unfortunately imports are whats "cool" right now. just like there are guys who have to get the lartest sneakers but don't play sports, there are people out there that fix up cars without even a thought towards performance. remember the 90's? when every other 5.0 mustang had neon accents and irocs were only used to pickup chicks? well now its the imports. the way things are going its gonna be 4 door sedans and suvs next.
i wanted a 92 gsr since i was a kid in high school. i would dream of owning an aztec green pearl gsr integra everyday. back then imports weren't cool. 5.0's were. a lot of kids from my school had them. i never cared about being cool. i wanted more. the idea of vtec impressed me. so when the opportunity presented itself i jumped on it.
i had a hot rod and i loved it. unfortunately i couldn't afford to build the car i wanted so i had to sell it. i still like hotrods and i will build one someday. i also like big 70's sedans like the buick electra 225. i don't have one for the same reason i don't have a hot rod. it will cost a lot to build it the way i want the car to be. (that and it won't fit in my driveway)
lastly, about those ricers talkin smack to everybody. well no one in my area talks trash to me because i have proven that my car is fast by beating the so called fast cars. now they just say, "i want my car to be fast like yours."

What I don't understand is why people continue to post about foreign made whatever junk on CarCraft.com??? I don't know if any of these ricers ever actually bought a copy of CC but its about AMERCIAN MUSCLE CARS can we please have our forum back? Import guys (and girls) please go away and post elsewhere. If you have beef with that go to your local dragstrip and race 12,11,10, and 9 second american street cars all day. Just, please, even if you have a fast honda or other *** crap, stop posting on Car Craft because WE REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU "scrape every nook and cranny over and over, and catch the crud in an inverted garbage can lid or you'll get it all over the ground, track it into the house, and your mom will yell at you."
