Why I hate Imports

The sole reasons that I hate imports:

1. If any of them knew what on earth they were talking about, they would realize that front wheel drive is most inefficent way to put power to the ground.

2. If any of them knew what on earth they were doing, they wouldnt drive like maniacs

3. If any of them knew what on earth they were talking about, they would realize that 300 pounds of stereo equipment slows your car to a crawl.

4. If any of them knew what on earth their cars really required to be fast, the would not spend all that money or rims, exhaust tips, neon underbody lights, etc.

5. Obviously, I have yet to meet a single ricer who knew what they were talking about, doing, driving, or most anything else about a car.

Imports can talk all day long, about how fast their car would be, if it hooked, if they had the right tires, is their bottle was filled, when their turbo gets paid, etc... but until I meet one, and get beat by one, I could not care less, I will continue to stopmp them

Oh, and someone should let them know that the body kits that I have seen on every ricer in town, is designed to be 'asthetically pleaseing'.  Unfortunately, that comes at the expense of its purpose, to privide downforce.  These all seem to produce lift. Seems a little on the foolish side.

It actually depends on what kind of Import it is cuz some imports can be made fast like the Supra, Rx7, WRX, DSM's. But the ones you are talkin about are the Civics, Integra's, etc. Its mainly because they dont know anything about engines and want to fit or something like that. Thats what I gather from what you say.

I'm with you guys.  But i like to broaden the term to "sport compacts" to get the american rice in there too.

but isn't it ok to have a quick four banger daily driver, that isn't all winged lowered and stickered? I like domestics, and a economical fourbanger is what I want to rack up the miles on. Plus when some kid is thinking he's all great in his lil Honda, I want to show him that I don't have to with a V8 to show him who is boss.

Personally, if i wanted a fast daily driver.  I'd go get a v8 sho or a supercharged monte, or something on that lines.  I wouldn't be caught dead in a 4 banger unless i needed the gas mileage.

Just FYI V8 sho's I do believe have montecarlo engines. plus if you beat a kid in a v6 he'll say that you only beat because you have two cylinders on him. I do a lot of driving so gas mileage is an issue.

Shos are made by ford, montes by chevy.....

If you need gas mileage i guess i won't make fun, but making it "fast" is a different story.  I understand the need for gas mileage both of my vehicles get under 18 and it sucks.  Sucks up a lot of the car fund.  However i'm not willing to drive a tiny car, so i live with it.

When i get my 454 i'll probably be in the same boat.  Unfortunately, i'm saving money to do body work, so i'll be stuck with my 220 horse sbc for awhile.

I don't know why I wrote monte carlo. I meant to write Yamaha. I think it is a 3.4L too. (so small). But I think that is the truth. at least from what I heard. still don't understand why I wrote monte carlo. Long week I guess, just wanted to clear that up.
