CONDITION:


SOME OWNERS MAY EXPERIENCE A SLIP IN DRIVE WHEN OVER 25 PERCENT THROTTLE IN SECOND GEAR.


CAUSE:


INSUFFICIENT PRESSURE REQUIREMENTS.


CORRECTION:


REFLASH THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE WITH THE APPROPRIATE PART NUMBERS BELOW. CD ROM 1996 DISC 5.

They mean it . You need a tech 2 and a TIS2000 Program to reflash . Not for the do it yourselfer ....

If your car keeps setting an 1870 code, there is an easy valve body fix for this. I know, I own a transmission shop and fix this code all the time.
