i just barely went and saw the new fast and furious movie other than the decent acting and the apperance of a few washed up stars i liked it the best part i think in the whole mivie is the beggining if you havent seen this film it atrts out with the hillbilly lead racing the aforementioned washout kid from that old show home improvement who is driving a brand spanking new viper the cool part is that the hicks monte carlo keeps up with the viper pretty easily another cool part of the movie is when they put the nissan sylvia motor in the old shelby you may say what you want but thats cool.

Yeah I've seen it, movie as a film was done fairly well.  As a car movie it sucked.  Drifting is like figure skating for cars, lame.  That Nisan motor is BULLSH!T.  Of all the parts of the movie, that was the most moronic.  I'd rather see a chrysler in a ford, or a ford in a chevy.  Funny how all the of the real stunt cars in the movies used real motors.  You know, 400 horsepower v8s.  The monte carlo was cool, shame they wrecked it.

I haven't seen this installment yet,but when each of the first 2 came out ,I ended up sitting through them just because my friends told me there were musclecars in them, then just like most movies they wreck them anyway. The Charger from the first movie is kinda taking on a "440 HEMI" aura to it,being that when guys talk about how that Charger pulled a wheelie,I don't even waste my breath explaining how fake it looked.Just like when people tell me about their Super BEEs they had with 440 Hemi Police Interceptors in them.I don't argue or correct them,I just nod and say "yeah cool".  I'd like to see Hollywood make a good musclecar movie, but they're always gonna *** it up by having ricers and exotic cars that nobody cares about except the rich producers who can't tell the difference between a 'Cuda and a Camaro.

i agree 110% i hate a lot of the f***ed up ricers who put dvd players and sound systems in their car when they could have taken that money and bought some performance kits and better yet, a muscle car with blowers and heads. b/cuz thats what really matters

Havent seen the new one, but have seen the first 2 , and I think its really funny how they somehow think that using nitrous makes a pretty pink flame shoot out the tailpipe.  Or that you can just hold the nitrous open all day long till the bottle goes dry.  I know of a lot of kids who put nitrous on their Eclipse after seeing those movies, but  because they didnt increase their fuel flow to match the nitrous, or even worse, let off the gas, ran lean, and melted the engine and had to explain it to Mom.

their must have been an american base their years ago and all the cars they are bringing in have all sorts of different *** engines in them. When the original motors die they cant get parts so fit whater they can find

Here is my idea for the Fast and the Furious 4.  Whatever pretty boy star races Christopher Lloyd in the DeLorean, and they both go back in time to 1962.  They then bring John Milner back to present day and his Yellow Duece Coupe mops up all the ricers.  He STILL has the most bitchin' car in the valley!

I work at a toyota dealership, and the cars we get coming in to service and the body shop never cease to amaze me. Take for instance the person who didn't think you needed to change the oil in cars. Result: rod through block. 90% of the cars coming in have never been washed. They just don't care. There was one car that we nicknamed the "Garden Car". I had to check it in, which required that I record all of the previous damage. This was quite difficult, as the entire car was one big dent and scratch. Then I had to move the car. I climbed in to discover something furry was growing in there. Hence the name. We had a Scion tC come in. Lamba doors, guages in every free inch on the dash, carbon fiber stickers covering the entire interior, purple window tint. No performance mods (what? the guages don't make it go faster? But that's how they did it on the fast and the furious.) Then there was the Lexus with the bullet hole covered by masking tape. But by far my all time favorite: A middle aged woman brings in her Corolla S with allow wheels, red painted brake calipers, pleather seat covers with beaded seat covers over that, and the best part, and I am telling the absolute truth, a sticker that was supposed to look like a sparkly aluminum fuel door over her normal fuel door. I am not making this up folks. Import owners never cease to amaze me. At least they keep me well employed.

Oh and my grandma just bought a Rav4 from my dealership. Trim piece under the stearing wheel popped off the next day. My family has bought only American for years, and we haven't been let down yet. (except for my dad, who kills cars, but that's an entirely separate issue).

Your and idiot.

Your just as bad as hating someone for being different, and there is enough of that going around, don't need it here. Why fight among car enthusiast based on what car they choose to build.

I have met a lot of ricers, and they build their cars due to cost, but they are finding out that a fox body is just as cheap and they can go a lot faster for less. We are seeing a trend of early '80s Mustangs with 347 strokers at the track and on the street. These cars can be had for less then $300 not running. And with less than $5000 using a nitrous unit they are running 10's Vs double that amount for an import to run 12's-11's and breaking trannies do it.

IMO one of the reasons younger gen knows little about cars could be related to the fact they cut out Auto Shop here in Cali. The only reference to cars is the movies and video games.

2 Lane is a bitchin movie but it flopped in the movies, the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds was cool, but it flopped also, so then they make a ricer flick, and it's a blockbuster. Moives are a bussiness, and if they make more money with ricers, then movies about ricers will keep being made. IMO support any car movie good or bad so that they make more of them. Look around, only a few studios are making car movies, Universal and Pixar. Good or bad they are the only one's still make them. Atleast Pixar's CARS did a better job of being a car movie and it was a cartoon.

"Your and idiot.

I wouldn't be calling him an idiot. You're the one who used "your" instead of "you're" twice and "and" instead of "an". Basic grammar rules here.

Anyway, the problem with ricers isn't that they choose to work on different kinds of cars. The problem is they make their cars ugly (scenery pollution) drive recklessly on the road, and since they can't really beat us, they egg our cars.

It is a totally different philosophy. We build our cars to look respectable and go fast reliably. Ricers build all for flashy show, and if they eventually get enough money for performance parts they build their cars to break. Import fours have to rev extremely high even bone stock to make any form of power. Their modifications tend to make the engine rev even higher, and the engine gets thrashed real quick. If you're going to race a four, use an ecotec. It makes more power at lower RPM and responds better to upgrades.

But please tell me you haven't been so annoyed with the kid who thought he was so cool because he put a massive wing, ground effect lights, and a huge tach on his mom's old corolla. Common, you know these cars are just screaming "punch me in the face because I'm an idiot."
