2.3L Turbo Ranger Swap

I am in the process of swapping a 2.3L turbo motor with T-5 WC transmission from a '86 Thunderbird T/C into a '83 Ranger that originally had a 2.0L 4 cylinder. The rear axle that I have swapped in is a '91 Ranger 8.8" with 3:45 gears with a locker. My first question is the stock T/C 4 cylinder T-5 transmission has a 4.0:1 first gear ratio, which seems to me to be a bit steep for a lite weight '83 Ranger. I have been looking for a Mustang 4 cylinder T-5 which would have a higher first gear ratio without sucess. I have a '84 SVO non world class T-5, so could I rebuild my T/C WC T-5 using the gear clusters from the non WC SVO T-5? If I find a decent V-8 T-5, can I rebuild it, using the 4 cylinder input shaft? Since I plan only street cruzing and an ocassional runs at the drags, would I be better off just using the Non WC SVO transmission, or running a higher rear axle gear like a 3:08 until I can find a later model 4 cylinder T-5? Or am I just worrying too much about this? My second question concerns the hydralic clutch set-up. My understanding is that you have to use the '87-88 clutch master/ slave with this swap, but that the '87-88 hydraulic hose is a bit short. Can the '83 Ranger hydraulic hose be used instead of the later 87-88 hose? If so, would the '83-'84 2.8L V-6 hose be longer than the 4 cylinder hose. Can the clutch fork for the '83 four cylinder be used to replace the now discontinued '87-'88 clutch fork. My third question is there a a larger front disc back set-up that can be swapped into the '83 Ranger. I understand that the '95-'97 Rangers had larger front brakes. If so, could they be swapped in? I know that this is a bit long, so if you edit it down or can answer just part of this, I would appreciate it. Also,just to suck up, my secret Hp adder is going to be my Car Craft decal that I picked up somewhere along the way. And if Vic Edelbrock happens to read this, how about a decent aluminum head for us turbo guys. Thanks, BP

Just use the TC trans as-is. I've had a TC "race car" that weighed in at 2700 Lbs with 3.73's and it worked just fine with the 3.97 1st gear and that was with the "baby" IHI turbo. You have a T3, so you'll be fine. older t birds and mustangs had a clutch cable unlike the ranger's hydralic set up. bigger brakes are nice, should swap easy. RACE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT
IT IS THE FASTS CAR ON THE STREET AS LONG AS IT STAYS IN THE GARAGE.

1) keep the tranny you have and quit complaining
2)use a line from a full size pickup, any descent parts man will either match it right or make one. hell if nothing else, splice in a couple inches with stainless line and hose clamps.
