IM A PONTIAC GUY, A FRIEND ASKED ME FOR SOME HELP WITH A SBC ENGINE SWAP AND I GOT SOME QUESTIONS. WE GOT A LATER MODEL 350 WITH IRON HEADS AND TBI GOING IN PLACE OF A 305 COMPUTER CONTROLED CARB MOTOR. ALREADY FOUND OUT INTAKES WONT SWAP BUT WILL THIS 305'S Q-JET WORK ON THE 350 WITHOUT A WHOLE LOT OF RE TUNING OR IS THERE AN EASIER ROUTE

GM USED TO HAVE A KIT FOR SWAPING 350 INTO A F BODY THAT CAME WITH A 305. THE KIT HAD DIFFERANT MEATERING RODS FOR THE SECONDARYS. EASY TO CHANGE. AS FOR THE INTAKE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YEAR 350 YOU HAVE.IF IT HAS ONLY 8 INTAKE BOLTS YOU WILL NEED A VORTEC INTAKE AND GASKETS.ON THE 87 UP TBI ENGINES I HAVE DRILLED THE INNER HOLES OUT SO THAT IT WOULD FIT THE LATER HEADS. I PUT SILICONE AROUND THE BOLTS SO I DID NOT HAVE ANY OIL LEAKS. I PUT A 92 305 IN MY 86 FIREBIRD THAT RAN WELL. WISH I HAD KEPT IT.
