Here it is. It will posted on the main page shortly.
The Car Craft Anti Tour 2006 will roll from Galpin Auto Sports in the San Fernando Valley, California to the JBA Performance Center in San Diego. After a brief visit we will travel to the 8th-mile Race Legal drags at Qualcomm Stadium on Friday March 31, 2006. On Saturday April 1, 2006 we will return to Los Angeles via scenic Highway 75 through Silver Strand beach. See the details below.
What to bring: $20 cash to race or $5 to watch (more if you are the gambling type), a cool car, and anyone you want.
How it works: Meet with us at Galpin Auto Sports on Friday morning between 9-10 a.m. to see their brand-new 7,000 square-foot showroom. We will pass out maps and CC swag then haul out of there at 11 a.m. and cruise around the horn to San Diego to visit the JBA Performance Center. We should reach JBA by about 2 p.m. where we will get a look at their facility and have an opportunity to shop in the speed shop. Depending on traffic, we will leave JBA between 3-4 p.m. to make the 6 p.m. tech line and compete at the 1/8th mile drags at Qualcomm stadium. When the gates close at Midnight, we will crash somewhere and get on the road early a.m. to head home via the Silver Strand. It’s a casual affair so bring your own lunch. The staff will be eating when we run out of gas and sleeping where we can find cheap rent. You can follow along or make your own plans; it’s up to you. As always, shutters will click and heros made, so if you want to be seen in CC mag, this is the best way to do it. If you've never drag raced before, we'll show you how. If you've never seen a header made, JBA will show you how. Join us!

Because the staff spends all summer in the midwest at all the huge shows that us SoCal people don't get to go to. B'sides the entire staff of Car Craft live here. Not only that, the Hot Rod Power Tour is in the midwest, the Rod & Custom tour is in the Midwest as well.

They probably don't go to the midwest for the same reason we don't go to cali. Our junk just won't make it

I started a fresh Anti-Tour thread in the "In the magazine" section, but It does'nt show up unless I actually log in.
So, It's there If anyones interested. I must have done something wrong for it not to show without logging in.

I just downloaded the Racelegal rules for their events. They require every driver to have a helmet no matter how slow you are running. I called them to be sure. They said it doesn't matter if you run the 1/8 in 2 1/2 minutes pedaling your big wheel , you need a brain bucket.

It's really a good idea though. You never know when the guy in the other lane may have a problem and shoot your direction.
You can never be too safe.
