Does anyone remember the CC sponsored car show at Cal Expo in Sacramento, Ca? My oldest daughter (26 yrs.) was in a stroller last time we went. I bought her a T-shirt there that said "Car Craft Street Machine Nationals". Was it a real Street Nats event?

I went to those shows for several years starting back in 88. By then it was called the Street Machine Expo. What a great show. I think it was put on by Don Tognotti who owned a big speed shop in Sacramento. It lasted the whole weekend and included a "Grudge Night" drag race and Sacramento Raceway.

I entered my 65 Impala in the burnout contest. I had a geat run going when a horrendous noise came from my diff. I later found out I welded the spider gears, the retaining pin, and cracked the ring gear in eight places. DId I mention the bikini contest?

Cool car. So, when ya gonna paint it?
