I have a 2.5" true dual exhaust on my car that i just sqwashed when my driveshaft bailed at mach 3. i have Thrush Turbo mufflers on it, the short ones (19" i think). now its quiet enough for me, but the old man (ya i still live at home) is worried about pissin off the nieghbors (i don't want to either). So i noticed that they make a 22"ish muffler. Would that be quieter than the short ones?
Thanks
It may not be the fastest or prettiest, but i can pretend

Yes those longer mufflers will knock db's and using 2-1/4 tailpipes would also drop db's. WIEDER

you might check out mufflers for a 92 cad fleetwood rear wheel drive with a 305 or 350 ,... available at most parts stores... they use a 2-1/2 inlet and outlet.. and are single on the cad app... so duals should quiet it down significantly.. and still let the power through... the 93 cad rwd fleetwoods used the same mufflers but in stainless..
several of my friends have done it... and love them...
