I have a friend who is building a 1971 Ford Galaxie 4 door sedan into a sleeper and he wants to install front and rear sway bars from another Ford. What sway bars will bolt up in this car without any or little modification? Also, he is looking to install heavier coil springs from a full size big block Mercury Marquis or Lincoln Continental. What years will interchange with the stock springs in his car? He is removing the stock 400 engine and swapping a 460 in it's place.

I own a 68' Galaxie which needed a spring swap due to sagging. Louisville auto spring advised to go with convertible springs which are heavier. They brought the back a little above standard height and the front back to standard height. My Galaxie now holds 255\70\15 tires with no problem. If you can find up to a 77 Ford police package car it should swap the sway bars.
