Torque is cool, though.  If you think about it, torque represents the net pressure difference across your active pistons.  You feel torque, because it is directly related to acceleration, which are directly influenced by your brake and gas pedals.  

Ok So in summary, without a dyno test to monitor an engines performance, you cannot really figure exact HP and torque in a modified engine. Secondly with a small engine it is gonna be easier to rev up, from having less rotating mass??? Third the shift points in the two "test" vehichles were figured with both cars having a 2.52:1 first gear, 1.52:1 second gear, and 1:1 third. The same ratios as a THM-350. and I think on a final note, you guys have really helped me out. I just wanted to see where my theories to tuning my engine were at, with the actual physics involved in tuning. I want to build a low-end street car, with higher than stock, top-end performance. So far I have made a small increase. Also I needed to ask, cuz some people in my area just think they KNOW everything about their 500HP honda's, and 900 HP mud running trucks!!!! Some of them aren't smart enough to know that 900 HP at 7000 RPM's isn't getting you anywhere in mud, but STUCK. Driving a 500HP Civic at 1200 RPM's is lugging the #$%^ out of the enigne as well. That is if you could get a Civic to put 500 HP to the front wheels......

Dude I have a really good and educative thread here. Why would you even bother to advertise a webpage? Did you even bother to read the posts to see what we were talking about? That'd be like me goin to a video game website and posting advertisements for something off topic. This thread has nothing to do with buying or selling a car. They have yellow pages in the phonebook, classifieds in the newspaper, and radio comercials, and internet pop-up windows, etc. for that.
