I've been a member here for three years and now this darn site now says I'm the newest member. Just in case you're wondering, NO! I didn't touch my profile or change my password, or anything else.

I thought you guys said you were going to fix this forum.

I was brought up by people who believed you are either someone of your word, or you are full of it. Which one do you wish to be?

I guess by the lack of any action taken by you means that you are full of ***.

I barely even check in here anymore.  Sad...cuz it used to be a heck of a place to talk about cars.

At least you still have your "enthusiast" rating and 522 posts

Hey, I'm the newest member, for the fourth time. What a nice compliment to get that distinction every time I sign  in. Wow. I feel special.

You think you're special, but I've been the 1,000,000th visitor at at least FIFTY websites! And now I'm the NEWEST MEMBER OF THE CAR CRAFT FORUM!

BTW, is it just me, or do some of the older threads display with the right edge cut off on some of the posts?

I'm not complaining. I'm glad they saved these HISTORIC. . . no, make that LANDMARK discussions when they switched over to this new format.

But my marginally humorous jokes just aren't nearly as  almost-but-not-quite funny with some of the words c

Not sure how this forum stuff works, but I need to vent about Car Craft to someone. I have to see or find any pictures or information about Car Craft 2007. I have emailed them, with no response. They are very rude. I understand that I am a Mopar woman and Car Craft is primarily everything but Mopar, but still. We had just got our car out of a 2.5 year restoration. A 1968 Viper Red Charger. We took a trophy for Participants Choice, as well as 1 of the 3 Editors Choice awards. We were very surprised and honored. No mention in any future edition, no return of emails. This is a very poorly managed web site in the first place. Yes I am bitching boys. We will not be attending the Nationals this year. 55.00 is way overpriced and more should boycott!

There's only like about TWO PEOPLE that still work there any more (gotta love all the jobs those annual corporate buyouts/takeovers create) . . .

And do you really expect Jeff Smith to forgo any of his essential "missionary work" on behalf of GMPP and the incredible, greatest-engine-of-all-time (in the minds of GM) LSx?

You should stand in line.

It's a long one.  For example, that crazy, apparently-has-no-life (but enough old junk cars to supply one of those polygamous "families" in Texas) Dr511scj and a couple of other misguided freaks have been waiting for FIVE YEARS for a turbo build.  NADA.  You've only been waiting a piddly little year . . . .

And there's probably about 500,000 readers who want their hooptie . . . oops, I mean their innovative, ground-breaking and sanitary one-of-10,000 machines in the hallowed pages of CC.

Patience, Weedhopper, Patience.

Uh . . . buy Super Chevy . . . or any of the other about two dozen magazines that are packed with Bow-Tie propaganda.

Of course, Jeff "LS" Smith would say "LT1?  Have you heard about the A-MAZING LS . . . ."

On the other hand, there's not a "Junkyard & Cheap Turbo" magazine** so the turbo hackers spend their waiting time prowling jy turbo message boards, usergroups and welding together odd bits of support hardware.

**Source Interlink's Turbo & High-Tech Performance rag is a riced-out Asian import tome focused on big-budget pro builds of fours and sixes -- It'd be more likely to find Martha Stewart modeling a teddy in a Victoria's Secret catalog than it would be to find a grassroots American V8 build in that feted pile of overcooked rice.

The last real V8 in Turbo was Jeff Smith's dream 'plant (GM LS) puffed and poked into an '80s Dodge (Mitsubishi) Conquest
