What year? Generally, better intake system, including air cleaner and intake helps. Exhaust too needs upgrade. Depending on what year it is, a chip would augment all other upgrades. Mine is a 1992 and I will let you know how it works out. A .030 over 350 with rebuild rods, flat top 9.5-1 pistons comp cams 249-4 cam K-kit, performance cyclone intake with adapter to fit holley 670cfm tbi. The computer was modified by tbi chips www.tbichips.com 160 degree thermastat. Headers and full 2 1/2" exhaust. 700R4 and 3.42 gear. Engine is in a gmc 1500 truck.

question on the thermastat. What temp is your engine running? I dont think the fan kicks on till like 200 right? So does it stay fairly cool? Just wondering if you'd pick up some power/or efficency since I engine typically run best between 180-200 degrees.

jegs has fairly decent size aluminum radiators for pretty cheap, find one that is closest to your spec. Get rid of the mechanical fan and shroud and get an electric one. Size is very important tho. I belive it area the fan covers is supposed to equal 66 or higher percent of the radiator surface.?

O'RIELY'S have goood prices on radiators. I bought one that measures 34" between tanks, 4 core alum., oil and transmission coolers, for about 170.00 with the tax almost 10% here in memphis,TN.
