79 Camaro RS

my boss built it up for his 16 year old son, he beat on it for 6,000 miles, parked it when it broke down, and it sat for a year.....he put $8,000 into it in like 3 months, I got it for $3,000......sits in my garage, needs work, between lack of time/money/expertise, it will keep collecting dust in the near future.

I have most of the receipts from the $8,000 , and boy it adds up quick.....it could use another 8 grand to be mint....

Our current daily driver is a 2001 ss Camaro conv, it's for sale to fund the "project".

The project is a 65 Chevy 1/2 ton fleetside short box truck. Plans are to install a zz crate motor, tub the rear and put on air ride.

The "other" car is the Cheap Street Chevelle won on the 2004 Hot Rod Power Tour. We love the car and show it at benefit car shows all year! We will be at the Car Craft Summer Nationals in 2006!

Just traded my Leakin' Town Car and 600 male deer for a '60 four-door Chevy...er-something or other.  What I do know is that it has new rear gears(stock type), a super rusty trunk(typical midwest car),turn signal and windshield wiper issues, and a sweet-tempered later model 305.

My title just says "1960 Chevy" so I'm not sure which trim package I have.  It has chrome on the roof rails and fins, with chrome on the rear quarters that resembles an arrow, and no back-up lights.  It's also a post rather than a hardtop.

All I do know are the names of the different trim levels(Impala, Delray, Biscayne, Bel Air), tho I don't know in what order.  If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say mine is either the basic package or the next one up.

After my last post I perused the 'net and looked at various pics of cars like mine and I've come to the conclusion that the heigherarchy(sp) goes in this order from least chrome to most:
Biscayne
Bel Air
Delray
Impala

As I suspected, I've got the second least amount of trim, so I'm thinkin' I've got ahold of a Bel Air, which after seeing the different levels has just the right amount of trim for me.
The Imp has way too much; I don't like the side trim on the Delray but I do like the stripper look of the 'Bisc.  If only it was a '58 two door(my favorite Bow Tie) but thankfully it's not a '59 as those catseye taillights do nothing for me, 'cept maybe on the El Camino.

Depends upon the time of the day depends upon my rides. I sell and barter vehicles a lot.  The DMV hate me.

Today I was given a 83 Delta 88 from one of my co-workers because it broke a tie rod in teh parking lot at work and he'd had enough. It runs rough, (307 that looks like it's never had the oil or gas filter changed.)  and has dents on every panel. Perfect! House paint, 16" rock krawler wheels, (I already have them, an ebay purchase,  they were suppodily off a Camaro,) and hand painted plames and I'll be set! BUT I have to save the boat from Bigfoot who is coming to our dealer this wek as a promotion and are willing to crush a car...everyone in the shop is looking at my new car.

I love Delta 88's. My BiL gave me his old station wagon years ago, (his wife threatened divorce if she had to look at it anymore...he should have kept it, she divorced him anyway, even after owning a Impala PI....nw he has a Audi A6)  I painted station wagon with house paint with flames. My son, 4 at the time, thought it was the greatest thing to take a brush to a car!

You should visit Wichita some time.  You can't swing a dead cat without hitting one.  My neighbor, a guy up the road, and two co-workers own one.
