it was the torino talladaga. it had a more aerodynamic body and was used on stock car circuit. kinda like what dodge did with the daytona charger just not quite as extreme looking

Donaldsupercharged, I loved the photo and the build-up report on your cross-flow six.
Keep us posted.

So, why aren't they listening? With 84,000 posts, if they haven't done anything by now, they aren't going to.....!
Maybe if I told them I was going to put a twin turbo on my flathead, I would get some response. I was going to make a log manifold using Hilborn fuel injection and blow thru eight separate injectors with the two turbos, would this setup be noteworthy?
I did by the four year subscription, but don't know if I'll live that long to use it up. I've been around since the 'little pages' in the 50's.

you know what would be cool... a 3.8 turbo GN motor in a chevy vega station wagon, or a turbo 2.3 in a pinto wagon. or a how abouta total sleeper a 1989 dodge shadow or dodge caravan using the the guts from a dodge stealth RT TWIN TURBO. talk about awesome! the combinations are endless.

Donaldsupercharged,
That cylinder head looks a lot better than anything we Yanks have for a "Falcon 6." Are they expensive or hard to get? How well do they flow?

The Pontiac was fun, but a little underwhelming. It was refreshing that they printed the troubled tuning saga.
It seems that a lot of magazine builds are "tag-a-longs" these days. Times are tough.

I'm detecting a wagon theme here.
That's a long way from CC's "Camaro Craft" days.
But going with it, it would be fun for the three staffers to do a "Turbo long-roof" build-off. (I've been watching too much "Top Gear" . . . .)
"Chevy" Smith could do the turbo Vega thing . . .
For John "The Body Man" McGann, I'm seeing a Ford Fox-body wagon or maybe an old Falcon "waggie". . .
Boss man Glad could score a big, old 440-powered Mopar or maybe even a Pentastar mini-van for his turbo hauler (But would CC readers accept anything with the dreaded FWD in CC?). . .
Build 'em on a reasonable budget and may the best box hang together long enough for the win.
There could be lots of fun events for scoring points . . . . Not just drag racing, autocross, burnouts, ride-n-drive, and 0-100-0. How about how many bikini-clad CC models would fit? Or hauling swap meet junk? Or camping at a race track? Or trendy stuff like "drifting" . . . .
CC could even throw in a newer "benchmark" ringer, such as a new Jeep SRT8 or Trailblazer SS, just for fun . . .
It'd be interesting to see who ended up with the best "bang for the buck" and power-to-weight.
It would certainly be "daring to be different."
(I guess I'd better take my meds . . . . )
