heres some other crazy stuff. I think in 68 the UAW went on strike and many vehicle specific parts were in short supply. My father has owned two 68 chevelles with none 68 parts on them from the factory. His first 68 had two antennas (windshield and fender mount) a 67 malibu wheel and Oldsmobile seats. His current 68 is a original L79 car has a 67 wheel and consol with pontiac buckets and a buick rear seat. The car also has a SS grille in it with no emblem. And this car was bought from the original owner back in 1971 and currently is un-restored original car with only 37k on the clock and all paperwork (even window sticker and build sheets).

That is really an interesting story!
You know, these stories would make an interesting story in Car Craft. Maybe a few people would come forth with similar stories.

yea it would make a cool story. Maybe Magnante could write one up. There has to be more cars and parts like this out there.
