I'm trying to put Corvette seats, and possibly gauges in my 2001 Cavalier Z24. I know i would have to take the seat mechanisms out to make the seat work but would installing them be really difficult or not?
thanx

I think some company would have built an adapter for something like this. I mean people are doing seat swaps everyday.

Try taking the seat tracks off of the cavalier seats and fit them to the corvette seats, that way the hole in the floor will match up. You might have to take it to an upholstery shop or a welding shop to get tracks from the cavalier seats to fit the corvette seats. Good luck with this, hopefully things will go smoothly and the track will just bolt right up to the corvette seats, wish it were that easy. The gauges are a different story, but they are both GM products, the wiring should match right up. Have you fit them in the dash to see if they will look right in there? It's been a while since I worked on a cavalier. Is the leather on the corvette seat good?
