OK, you guys have seen four or five issues of the new look for Car Craft. Now is about the time we start making decisions about how to further fine-tune the magazine to make it even better.

Here's the first thing we need to know: Do you like the new, huge Car Craft logo on the cover, or did you like the look of the covers better when it was small, like the old style?

I personally like the new style better,  it stands out.  But you should change the background and have a contest to see who can figure out what it is.

I like it.  All that's missing is the "no bling" sticker.

Big is cool although maybe only a quarter of a page instead of a third.  Love it when we get action shots on the cover, were you the editor who did the write up way back, that exsposed the magazine tricks on wheel stands with a pair of jack stands and a smoke machine?  Reguardless, There are so many aspects to CC that rock.  Maybe skip the floating carbs and stuff, and just post the tag line.

who gives a rats a$$? its whats inside that counts. Think of it like a sleeper! the outside is meaningless the 600hp under the hood is what counts!

Huger is better. Stands out on the newsstand, too.
The look is good.

like the new cover  but like the new outlook of the whole mag inside and out....but

how bout some greasy fingerprints on the car craft logo...   for that  d.y.i.  feel  plus when reading it inbetween working on our junk the new fingerprints we leave will not look out of place...

or  how about a pic of an old photo in the logo art....(like the flames that people put into the lettering.. you could have a photo of an old dragster or part or person from the hayday...   it be like tring to find the rabbit head TM  only it be guessing what the pic is and where it from..

not a contest  but just for fun...

even a junkyard  find as the backdrop of the logo art would be cool..(in the lettering not the background behind the logo.)

If it won't move,FORCE it,If it breaks,

IT needed replacing anyways!!!!!!!!!!

I've been subscribing to CC for 15 years (since I got my driver's license in 1990) and like the new look. The copy editors need to do some more proofreading though. Page 16 of the Aug. '05 issue, there's a little blurb at the bottom that says "If we see this 'priceless' shtick one more time, we're gonna yak."

Where's your barfbag? You ran the "Priceless" thing just six pages later with the "LS1 Into a Fake Goat" quickie on Page 21. Eh, maybe it's just me. There's a few other little things like that in the mag, but the articles are great. The prices to go with each article really lay it on the line, especially for those of us that are budget conscious.

I like the new coverlook, could be a touch smaller to give a bit more room for photos and teasers. It definitly pops on the newstand. I've bought two now that way even though I've subscribed forever. Needed the CC fix I suppose. One thing that has improved rapidly is the elimination of things like the six editorial pages of rusty hulks or wheelies. The strength has always been solid, widely applicable how to do it and what were the actual results type articles. I'm a Ford guy, but the Super Nova series and the Vortech/carbed/big block have been long term guidebooks for me.

Actually, there is  a tiny caption on that page that says something about ralphing, tho I didn't see it until the third or fourth time rereading the mag.

"If it's fast enough, no one can tell how ugly it is."
