Lol, amazing! If 4.10 gears equate to 9000+ rpms then 5.13's must be around 12,000+ Actually with a 28 in. tall tire, and a 4.10:1 drive ratio an engine would have be turning less than 6000 RPM at 110-120 Mph, which is a fair expectation for a trap speed with the mild engines we are talking about here.

that cam is too small, you'll be banging your head after your engine is in and running saying "why didn't i go just a bit bigger"

the pattern i'm seeing here is,don't go roller.if the guy wants to run a cam that looks like a #2 pencil as far as the lobes go and wants to go roller i say go roller, how many times is joe average (me included) going to rip into the engine of his/her street car? i have a 71 camaro,12,000 miles on the h.o. 350,vortec headed engine.this block is a roller cam block.i have all my part #'s picked from comp so i can go full roller.does the engine run great now? hell yeah 13.80's@99mph with 2.20's 60 ft times, ick.but the car has less give than a hockey puck as far as suspension goes.everyone says i'm wasting money on the roller set up.but who doesn't like to be asked about their car's set up and want to spit that out,"what's it got for a cam bro?" "dude i'm running a full roller set up" most of us do this for bragging rights anyways.go roller or just go away!!besides, mass produced american cars didn't start really running past 120k miles until fuel injection and roller cams became standard.so in the long run he is better with a good roller set up,as far as f.i.,eh.still to pricey for me

pick yourself a cam manufacturer then call their tech line.don't rely on message board yolks.i filled out a cam selection form on comp's web site.it took like 2 or 3 weeks to hear back.i had picked all my own part numbers out.then i gave a description,an honest one,of what the car was used for and gave good details about the engine because i had a spec sheet from gm.i have a crate engine.and comp's tech guy gave me kudos for the set-up i chose.if he had suggested changes i would most definately respect whatever advice or part#'s they told me.if bubba dookey on car craft's message board was helping me make my cam set up choice,i wouldn't expext the engine to do to well....happy hunting!

5500? shoot for 6200.measure your tire height b4 you contact a cam company also.if your have 355 gears and tall tires your going backwards.i bet your tires are somewhere around 24.5-26 inches tall.the torque a 383 should have will make that thing scoot man.you should do a huydraulic roller set up with like 240's duration and.525 lift.

Alright, the only way to state this is to tell you to shut up! You must not be very familiar with message board "manners" because some people will apologize for a double post when you just made something like a hextuple post. When you have no more useful information to add, STOP POSTING.
