is there any easy way to get papers (pefreably a clear title) on a car that came with a farm? (not part of the deal just left in the woods to die) because ive found some pretty cool stuff that i could get cheap or free if i haul it away (for the most part thats a ripoff but there are a few acceptions)  

call your auto mechanic... they will have a phone number to a lein sale company... who might be able to get a tittle...

or get your states vehicle code from your dmv office.. usually under 10 bucks...

having and knowing the codes  when you go in the dmv will save a lot of headakes.. and double running around...   plan on searching for a prior owner...

the vin number will need to be verified... by a state official ... dmv or state police... they will check it for being on the hot sheet...  do this before you spend any money on fixing it up or removing any parts....  other than a wash job...   hopefully you got a bill of sale from the property owner... and took photos.. of where it was sitting...

there are way too many cars being stolen right now... and people trying to register stolen cars...

some guy just got his vette back after it has been gone for 25 years...he was a really happy camper....  

thanks the journey starts i guess now i have to pull them out when the ground is less muddy (all the snow is melting) does it make a difference if the prior owner is dead? because the 2 cars im looking at 1 doesent have plates and the other one has plates from 1965 on it they dont look that bad but im assuming they were in the barn untill whoever owned them died and when they did the cars were thrown out and left to rot in the woods but ill start asking and poking around (theres other junk in the way) if they ont have vins i wont waste time with them (ive turned down shells of once cool cars for this reason its hard) and i heard about that if i was that guy i wouldve passed out
