I just bought a 1970 elcamino for 2500$.Im wondering if this was a good deal or did i buy a lame duck here.First of all the car is corvette yellow and came with aluminum wheels.the rubber wasnt so great but still useable.Engine amd trans are running good but still has points blah.I think the paint might be stock because i peeled back the carpet and its all yellow but I wont know for sure untill i look it up.The motor has plenty of power i get 2nd gear rubber and its kinda rumpety like an old 327 vette. Its very hard to tell what kind of cam is in it but im guessing maby a comp cams 268 grind or somthing like that. The heads are camel humps but not sure which ones. The rear end is a 12 bolt and im guessing its a posi unit by the even black stripes in front of my neibors house hehe.Im not going to restore this car since its been modified this way but its been bringing me back and forth to work every day.Ive only had this car for 2 weeks so ive just done a tune up and thats all.ps motor and trans are 350/350 and trans was built at a shop that put heavy duty parts in it,very hard shifts.Hope to see the car craft baracuda back at irwindale soon, thanks guys.

Sounds good to me! So long as its not a total rust bucket I'd say you did OK... Have fun with it!

if that is a str8 and rust free car,it would have a 10 thousand dollar asking price with good tires here in ct.the 12 bolt alone would go for 1500-2000 dollars.good luck with it and enjoy.

I think you're just bragging. If you know enough about cars to find yourself on this forum, then you know it's a good deal.

I agree 283ci.
camel hump heads, 12 bolt, desirable 70 El Camino. He knows his stuff and knows he scored. A muscle car daily driver for $2500 is a good find.
