First, you were going to put in a 454, then you already started fabricating a turbo off of a talon to a 350, now twin turbos! Wow!

Well, TBI isn't the best choice for injection, but it's not terrible. It is user friendly and easy to figure out considering it's basically a carb with 2 injectors in it. The question is how much power are you going to make ? Factory TBI won't support high HP numbers, however, there are a few places that make a direct replacement unit for it. I"m pretty sure edelbrock makes them ( don't hold me too that ) Hope this helps. And finding a bellhousing shouldn't be a problem as a 4.3 liter will accept pretty much anything as a standard 350.

my car crafting relies heavily on "hook-ups" and the connection for the 454 fell through right around the same time as the turbo hook-up happened then the fine people at banks performance sent me a email advertisement and I started doing research and designing and here I am (talk about an expensive, slippery slope) once I narrow it down to one choice it will be awesome to say the least, but until then it is still stuck in the dreamer/parts gathering stage

Always build the biggest "legal*" engine you can afford (both initially and at the gas pumps).  Turbocharging does not alter that rule.

If gas prices stay high, the V6 might make more sense. But the V8 will look, sound and perform better.

Fuel injection would be better with the turbos, but there are plenty of folks running blow-through carbs on the street and at the strip (see the "We aren't rich but we aren't stupid" thread).

A TBI will probably need some auxillary injectors and an auxillary injector controller or other "help" to keep up with the demands of a turbo engine.  And fuel distribuiton won't be much better than with a carb.

Some have used "twin" tbis on a dual quad-style manifold, but there's probably not enough advantages to be worth the hassle . . . .

Surely there's enough Chevy multiport EFI stuff at the junkyard that you could adapt a Megasquirt-based system to the V8.

*"legal" in that obviously you shouldn't build an engine so big you can't get it past your "sanctioning body's tech inspection" (whether at the track or the IM test station) . . . .

I am planning on installing a new wiring harness, painless or such but I would like to not have a computer if possible do you or anyone else know of a mechanical fuel injection that is plentiful and cheap?
