I say that in order to play off the tuner excuse of.."well, if i had a v-8" whenever they lose to a v-8 american muscle car. it goes to show why 4 and 6 bangers just wont cut it. and yes, i race cars of my own size. there aren't very many, and most big block vehicals are trucks, so there isn't much competiton, but there is a blown small block running around somewhere, but he aint out that much. and, of corse theres a few imports using their frequence torture to insitgate a race. But it perty easy to drown them out with 3 inch exaust, so i dont really pay that much attention. not to mention, once ur about 3 car lengths ahead and shifting out of first, its just like normal driving again, so, inconclusion, i dont really have much to race around here, but when i get a chance, i race whats available

Let me ask you a qeustion,  I have a 1991 (rear wheel drive) Nissan 240sx (Made in Detroit).  And it has a SR20DET motor built by Signal Auto in Torrance Cali pushing 501 hp to the ground from a 2.0 liter, and is my daily driver.  It has no stickers, no wing, 17 inch wheels, 275 Nittos in the rear, quiet exhaust.  Runs high 10's, is my car rice?

"It's pretty lame for those guys to assume that all guys with Camaros and Mustang ride around listening to Lynerd Skynerd and hate 'stupid imports' . . . ."

Yeah, it's just the SLOmaro drivers.

I just think it's funny how people label everything, everythings got to be "import" "domestic" "muscle" "tuner" ..... whatever the *** ever man, just *** drive it. If you put stickers and *** on your car and you think it looks good and it's gonna make you fast, well *** you.  And all you queers with smog choked eighties era F bodies and whatnot, throwing on a sh!tty set of headers and a K&N filter element, and think you can take any "buzzbomb" on the streets, guess again, because you need a little more than 305 cubic inches and throttle body injection to keep up with some of these small displacement forced induction engines on the streets. Oh, yeah, and Honda guys: a header on your sh!tty D series engine is not going to give you the ablility to "hang" with a C5 Corvette, so go back to reading Super Street....

Hey, not throwing mud, but do you go to Irwindale? I would like to check out your car. My car is not that fast, but maybe we could hook up and do something. And for what it's worth, I don't consider your car rice.

I have been 1 time to watch, but I will admit right now, I am NOT good enough to even start out in round 1 with those guys.  I can achieve and maintain a Drift in second to third gear around 40/50 mph or so, but anything faster than that, I get a little nervous that I am going to wreck my car and I have no sponsor.  People do not relize how fast those guys are moving, driver NOB (THE HKS S-15) came around turn 4 on the speed area in 4th gear at over 90 mph in a beautiful complete wheel lock dirft when I realized that drrifting is not just slnging your car sideways and holding for a couple seconds, those guys are Professionals, I am not, I just have a fast street car.  My S13 is a personal car and It was not that expensive to build, but took a long time.  MY stang I wish was faster, but I have pretty much devoted all my time and money into the S13.  It rides rough becausre of the TEIN Dirft Spec Coilovers, but the damn thing is a curve monster!  And runs 10's!  I am satisfied,  I see Mustang and Camaro  trailer queens at the track all the time that struggle to run consiststant low 11's, I love that.  And thakns for not considering my car rice.  It flatt black and no wing, all business.  Where are you located?  Right now I am in the Memphis area.  Will be moving in early spring to the Jacksonville are.

No, I'm in Tennessee right now.  I have been to  Cali several times and will return I am sure.  But I transfer to the JAX area soon.  Oh, BTW when I was on travel down there looking for houses, I saw two police cars that made me droool, one was a Viper with the lights, roll bar the whole nine yards and the other one you are not going to believe, it was a damn GT-R SKYLINE!!  The SKYLINE had "JACKSONVILLE HIGHSPEED INTERSEPTOR" written across the hood.  I almost #### my pants when I saw that.  Come to find out, the JAX area is the 2nd highest street racing hotspot in the nation behind L.A..  I cannot wait to get there!  And for those people who read this thread and think a Viper can out run a SKYLINE through the street of a city, you are sadly mistaken, on the interstate, I still would bet in the Nissan.  Ask anyone.

You are a complete d-bag for even being on this website. Acting all big and bad cursing and whatnot. No one said they have 305 ci of v-8 that will beat ricers on the street. I've got 454 of them, so I dont really worry about that. Anyone that is in this chat room that owns an import should really find a different place to chat.

Hey dude, who the hell do you think you are?  This is a AUTOMOTIVE FORUM.  Not a "I HATE IMPORTS FORUM".  You are mad because you cannot understand how a 2.0 liter motor can propel a car through the qtr mile in the 10 sec range and still be driven to work, school, on a date or whatever.  The Import world is getting bigger, faster and soon, I am sure that you will "experiment" with an inport.   It is true that most imports are slower from the factory compared to some domestics, I will be the first to agree, that being said, My 240 has less money in it than my stang, wieghs less and has about 100 more horse power.  And scares the hell out me sometimes, I cannot floor rit until atleast third gear or I redline the #### out of it, it revs superfast.    The only thing I like better between the two are the stangs exhaust, in my oppinion, the mustang has a note that cannot be matched.  I have heard a LS1 boosting 40psi (non streetable  raccar) sounded like ####,  some kids that live near me fly by me house in thier Civics at thier top speed of around 145 or so and thier exhaust make want ot run them down and kill them.  That is just the way it is.  Also, if anytime we are in the same geographical location, I will race your "454" block of dead weight and run the lowest boost that I can set on my SR, and give you head start if you wanted one, and also, how good does your car do on a road course?

It was a point that I was making that you throw the word "rice" around alot, not really knowing what your talking about. It's just funny to me how a type of people have the nerve to call a car "rice", but yet drive slow ugly cars themselves. I doubt you've ever had any wrench time on a 454, not even to change the spark plugs. And even if you have, I doubt your car really isn't fast by the way you post. A smart car guy knows that engines are all air, fuel, and spark, and know the advantages and disadvantages of big displacement, big boost, ect.  You seem not to.

I'll bet you any amount of cash that me and my buddy could build a badder SMALL BLOCK CHEVY than your BIG BLOCK. Heh, then I'll bet you my  turbo AWD DSM could then promptly hand you your ass, and send you home in tears----and thats a whole whopping 122 cubic inches of turbocharged "import" power. I think you need to learn a bit more about cars before you go around telling people where they can post on the internet....

The fact is most imports will lose to a V8 on the street. Street racing has more to do with torque than horsepower, and since most people don't race a full quarter mile on the street, HP doesn't really mean anything. The fact is a 500hp V8 will always make more torque than a 500hp turbo'd four banger.  Sixty foot times say it all when it comes to street racing.

I love blowing ricers off in my big block suburban. The look on there face is priceless.

Like I say, who cares about HP, since it is figured out of how much torque you make. Torque is everything, and the sooner you make it the faster you go.

Hey, freedom of speech, just like I can tell to go to hell, or even go fuk yourself. I can post here and express my self just like you, and I own both an import and a domisic that will have your punk @$$  "454" for lunch. I think your full of *** nobody has 454's that runs, most have 460's, 468's, 496's and so on, so take your truck sled 454 and go play with the little kids you can pick on.

Get a pic of it, that would be cool. Keeps us posted on what happens when you get there.
