When I was in High School, the fastest was 110 (computer limited) in my 91 Beretta GT. Shortly after that, I was on a turboed CBR1000 on I-81 in Harrisburg, PA headed for Hagerstown, MD. I was clocked at 168 but it took me several miles to find the right posture to get that speed hugging the tank. The fastest ever I've been was about 190 in a Winston Cup car at Dover Downs. Now that's fun stuff. I wanted to go faster but you weren't allowed to pass the pace car.

Not sure, it was in my 95 TA.....383 stroker and lots of mods... I buried the speedo which was 155 I would guess somewhere between 165 and 170.....the car became very unstable at the speed even with the suspension upgrades. The 4th gen Camaros seem to handle alot of speed better than the TAs ( they want to lift the front end )

I don't know how fast Ive ever gone because my speedo only goes to 85. I have a 1980 Dodge Mirada with a 408 stroker motor in it and it has the origional 2:1 gears. Acceleration on this thing isnt bad with 408 cubes, but the top end is incredible. I left my friends fox-body Mustang at 135 when he ran out of gear and just kept going untill the front end got squirely. My best guess would be 150-160. The fastest Ive ever ridden was 170 in a C5 Corvette. Mopar or Nocar

My speedo doesn't work anymore but my fattest is probably about 130mph. I was on the freeway cruising when a jetta and Civic flew by and I had to show them what a real car is. I floored my 71 Olds and got up to about 4000 rpms be fore I got to my exit. My car cruises at 70 mph at 2,500 RPMs and 90 at 2,900 RPMs so I can only guess how fast I was going. By the way the imports couldn't keep up.

Fastest I've ever been in a car, about 200. Fastest i've ever driven is about 155, per police radar (its nice to have friends on the force) It was fast enough that the windows popped out of the channels on my Prix, NOT a fun thing to hear at those speeds.

Fastest I've been was 125 in my IROC. I buried the speedo (85mph) in my 85 Delta 88. . .doesnt mean much though...that thing's got a lame 307 in it...178,000 miles and never had the valve covers off...but still lame.

Ah yes, I know what you're talking about, I went on a vacation with my parents in the '02 Chevy Tahoe. We were on, I believe, I-70 or something like that in Michigan on the way to Canada. I was 17 at that time, it was last year really. I was in the passenger seat just staring out of the window because I was very frustrated. My dad was driving between 60-65 in a 70 zone. I wanted him to speed up but I knew if I said something, he would say, who's driving? Anyway, I happened to look out the windshield and I saw a 02 Acura RSX flying along, I estimated the speed to be about 125 mph because that car just rocketed by. Then a few mins after that, a ugly "blinged out" yellow Honda Civic drove by, that car was smashed up on one side. I wanted to reach over and floor the gas pedal in the tahoe but I knew the consquesnces would be severe. So I just thought to myself, next time if I see something like that, I will floor my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville and chase them down. The Bonnie is surprisely fast, so I guess I could catch up to them. The moral of this story is if an import pass you by thinking he's the fastest, please show them that they're wrong, American cars can't be beat.
Hey, I saw a commerical for a Hypertech power programmer for the 00-04 3.8 V6 in Impalas, Monte Carloes (the FWD versions) I thought i could use that for my car so I emailed them and they said that it wouldn't work on mine. Anyone has any ideas why, I don't think GM would change the 3.8L V6 that much. Did they?
