Ok lets start here telling what we want to see. Be specific about articles of interest, and put any input you have on the topic.
First and foremost I would like to see what it takes to put IRS on older vehicles. Using boneyard parts. I am not a Mustang fan but it seems logical to upgrade the rear in an old foxbody to an independant rear from say a 97 mustang. I think this would be a great place to start.

IRS is only in '99 and up SVT Mustang Cobras, not '97 'Stangs. Not cheap. But Thunderbirds used a similar system from '89-'97. Cheaper, but lots of fabrication required.
In the Spirit of Freiburger, I'd like to see a multipart series entitled "EconoRACER" about thrashing a dirt-cheap hooptie (hopefully a Fox-body Ford) in all sorts of competitions over the course of a year (upgrading safety systems and parts swapping as necessary). Start with the Grassroots Motorsports 2005 Dollar Challenge down in Florida (that keeps the budget L-O-W), then bracket race it, autocross it, open-road race it down in Texas, Nevada and Nebraska, take it to Bonneville and El Mirage, run it on the Power Tour (in race trim, of course), put it up against the Real Street Eliminator cars, thrash it on some open track days, and maybe even enter it into One Lap of America (like those Mopar guys did with "The Brick," a nitroused Plymouth). Forget about winning or setting records. Just be there to push the limits of junk parts, tweak the purists, and to have fun. Combined with wiseguy prose like the old 1980s CC "Americruise" serials, EconoRacer would be a real hoot. I think it would become an iconic project that might sell a few magazines, too.

One more thing. Don't end "Real Street Eliminator!" Mend it! It should have at least Five new elements.
First: Like PHR's Engine Masters, it should have some regional prelims. Perhaps CC could talk somebody into sanctioning it. If practical, it should be whoever shows up, passes tech and pays the entry fee gets to run for a slot in the National Finals--and may the best cars advance. An alternative would be to screen the cars on paper and invite ones that seem well-rounded.
Second: Put the cars on a chassis dyno (of course the "Oklahoma Outlaws" would figure out some way of winning that portion of the competition . . . )
Third: have one of those collector insurance guys appraise the actual cash value of the competitors's cars (great sponsor tie-in opportunity) and SUBTRACT from the performance scores for the "replacement cost" of the cars. This factors in "bang for the buck" (keeps the "real" in "real street").
Fourth: Tell us the corner weights for the winners (we need to know how heavy they are and how it's distributed).
Fifth: Add a new creative engineering points category to reward really trick innovations.

LOL I told everyone I hated mustangs, but i would rather see a mustang build at this point than to even fathom another camaro build. I think IRS is a good addition to people wanting more from their car.
Hot Rod - covers drag racing
Super Chevy- Covers all things Camaro
4 wheel and off road- Covers lifted trucks
and Truckin Covers weed scraping trucks.
CC Should be about the total improvement of a car, as well as show us cheaper ways to improve our cars for all given vehicles.

I want to see more project cars and more junkyard parts.
How about a junkyard turbo project? Junkyard engine swaps like Hot Rod's Caddy 500 into the Chevette from years past.
I would like to see more project cars that anyone can find for cheap that are still common in junkyards. The 70s and earlier cars are becoming rare. How about 80s Crown Vics, S10s, Dakotas, turbo Chryslers, TBirds/Cougars, 3rd gen Camaros/Firebirds, G-bodies... Stuff the average high schooler can buy.
Just some ideas.

I would like to see junkyard build ups I would like to see the 6 cyc in the AMC fuel injected before it gets pulled; if for no other reason than another mag did it to a mopar! I would like to see oldsmo-fords and mopa-buicks and maybe another 500ci chevro-caddy but this time with a flame arrestor for saftey I would like to see a FWD supercharged factory full roller 3800 from a Buick Park Ave Ultra mated to a 700R4 out of a 2.8 Firebird and stabbed into a SOMETHING!! 300 hp and nearly 20/ 30 gas milage is cool! Especially when regular is $2.50 a gallon. I want to see budget built street cars where I can chirp the tires and still afford the gas to go to work.
