What do you guys think? This is what I drive while I restore my 79 SE TA. Well, this is what I drive on weekends when the Bandit is being restored, at least. :P Took some more pictures, full size ones are here: http://www.ponchoparts.com/bryan http://www.ponchoparts.com/bryan/a.jpg

I see you're waiting for AAA, too. Good thing a big truck didn't come around that curve while your Bird was stalled on the highway.
Good thing you had that digital camera along to pass the time. (I suspect CC's editors just bang out a few stories on their laptops when CC's Project Birdturd squats).
But Johnny Hunkins over at PHR would absolutely love that down-on-the-deck shot of your Bird's keaster . . . if all those pine trees weren't sprouting out of your T-Tops.

I don't think it holds a candle to my "98 TA" . . . .

You're nicer than I would have been. I think this thread is a huge waste of bandwidth. It looks like a stock TA with some too-dark-to-see-them painted wheels. Big deal.

I have to agree. I love the looks of the TA, i think they look better than the camaros, but come on, anyone can put rims on it. What would make it impressive would be an under hood shot with mini-blower or something like that. maybe a wheelie stand pic, other than that, its just an ok car

Well, I hadn't taken any pictures since the new hood and custom blackbird stripes, so that's why I took just exterior pictures. Car doesn't just have a set of wheels on it...... BMR lowering springs, Bilstein HDs, BMR LCA relos, Spintech exhaust, BMR tubular SFCs, set up for handling (hence the wide/big lightweight wheels) Engine is stock till my heads get out of the shop, then I'll install the custom 5.3L heads, Futral F5 cam, LS6 oil pump, Pacesetter coated LTs w/ORY, NOS nitrous kit, custom FRCs, and paint the intake. Then I'm gonna get Boxes LCAs, adjustable panhard rod, adjustable torque arm, and upper and lower tubular A-arms. It's also been built about as cheap as an LS1 can be, but still with quality parts.

well i happen to think GM had a homerun with that car as far as looks go. that hood scoop did wonders in my eyes for that cars appearence. i think that exact body style is in my top 3 all time favorites. kudos to you for owning one and not letting the flawed engineering or high insurance rates stop you. seriously.
