I'd say forget it. Worked at a parts store and we had many returns on it because they said it did nothing for them.

he doesn't mean "Toranado", as in the Olds, but the Tornado, as in the little metal thingy you put in your air cleaner. I doubt it works.

Mopar or Nocar

Thanks for the reply, I would say if you worked where you sell them

your information would have to be a good measure of what`s what.

Thanks again for the reply

I've seen Popular Mechanic's tests of them and from people who have bought them and the general consenses is that there is no improvement in mileage.

I worked at a parts store for three years, we didn't move to many of them, but of the few that we did sell a few people said it did nothing.

I put one on my 502 powered '68 Impala and it gets about 38mpg on the highway, with 4.88 gears.  The key is better fuel atomization.

Ah, come on.  I thought that obvious enough in it's facetiousness to be taken as good natured.  You didn't get mad at Cougar for the Oldsmobile comment.  If you know I was BS'ing you, than you already knew in your heart that those contraptions aren't worth looking into.

does anyone here watch Mythbusters on Discovery?  One episode they tested mileage myths.  All kinds of contraptions for carburetors and fuel injection.  None of them worked.  The only thing that worked was using filtered fry vat oil (from your local fast food restaurant) in a diesel.  It got almost the same mileage as regular diesel fuel.  I wouldn't recommend it...but if you're desperate...

Didnt they do one with pickups and it showed you got better milage with the tailgate up because it forces air over the truck?
