Anyone else notice the post about the impending site upgrade "disappeared", then the upgrade took over three days and finally just didn't happen at all?
How about asking the people who use the site what they want instead of shoving it down our throats?

The intention of doing something, being out of commision, then just not doing it is the CarCraft signature. Why should the site be different than their projects. They probably just found out that you can't build a server out of beer cans and duct tape!
As far as "shoving it down our throats", it's their site, they can do as they please. Maybe if you offered to pay the hosting fees and do the upkeep on the site, they might listen to your input. Untill then just be happy we have a site.

True, it's thier site but we, the users, are the customers. If we don't like it we leave and they can play in thier sandbox all alone. If they truely wanted to build the site and drive it's use up you'd think they'd at least try to engage the users in any upgrades.
Typical of most IT departments I've had to deal with I get the feeling that this "upgtrade" isn't about the users but the people who maintain the software, making thier life easier. That is typical of IT departments in my experience.
