To Mr. Douglas Glad,
You mentioned that you did not find any swap cost info on a GenIII conversion.  My wife (with a bit of help from me) Swapped a 2002 LS1/T56 into her 67 Camaro last spring, and displayed it at CarCraft Nats last year.  While we still have not gotten around to paint and body work yet, it is a fun car to drive, and after over 3000miles on the swap, we are not only getting the fun factor of the 6 speed and huge torque curve, but we are doing it with 27mpg!  Her swap is completely detailed at several spots on the net, and there is a detailed cost/source spreadsheet as well.  Her fquick garage is www.fquick.com/67RSSS and the swap was encouraged and documented at ls1tech.com (under the conversions and hybrids section, hit the hall of fame sticky, her swap is the detailed swap into a 67 (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6791708)
The spreadsheet, fluid drawings, and wiring info can be downloaded at:http://hosted.filefront.com/67rsss

It is interesting to note that we did everything in our little garage except the new exhaust and alignment.  From the day we decided to do it, to the day we drove it to its first local show was exactly 3 months (27feb07-27may07).

We enjoy your magazine, and always enjoy the summer nats, though we may not be able to go this year since you changed weekends, to the same weekend as our daughters youth league softball tournements.

Also, while I know her car may not be one of the sexy $250K builds you guys like to see, we where dissapointed that we could not get any interest from any of the CarCraft personel at the summer nats in the fact my wife did such a nice swap.  If we can go again this year, I will make a sign that says it was built by a girl and see if that helps.
