I'm betting the rear pass. side oil gallery plug was not replaced when the engine was rebuilt.

The rear plug is in,I have plenty of oil pressure, the lifters are getting plenty oil but there is not enough oil getting to the roller rockers.

Could it be that the metering disk in the lifters is not letting enough oil through?. I am using Crane Gold Race rockers and 30 wt. motor oil.

I have the oil pressure gauge installed in the drivers side lifter oil gallery by distributor,it has about seventy pounds at idle until it warms up,then it idles at about twentypounds.

sorry for the late reply. I hope you have worked it out. My other thought was excessive lifter to bore clearence. was it checked during the rebuild?

the metering valve in the lifter is not the problem. 20 psi @ idle is ok too.
