I've got a set of heads on my 396. I think that they're gonna bump my compression higher than affordable pump gas will allow.
3856206....65-66...oval..CLOSED..396, 97cc chamber
Anybody got any ideas on what they are worth? They've got about an hour on them, new valves etc..
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Pete

I'd strongly suggest CC'ing them. Adding larger valves, especially with more uncommon faces with significantly alter the chamber volume. The scary thing is that the advertised compression ratio's are usually overated, yet some say today's pump gas octane is also overated, so for most it works out, but those that make many measurements and accurately decided compression ratio, the "common" okay numbers for premium fuel may be too much.
