Who said he would be disappointed in the Mustang? I know plenty of people who were happy with their Mustang including my 87 GT. I also had a 94 Z-28 and sure the power was ok with it but what really sold me on the car were the 6 speed and the 4.10 gears I swapped in it. Gas mileage was still fantastic in that car but there was some practicality issues with that car that I did not have with the GT. Mainly it was that stinkn long nose scraping every time I entered or left a drive way.

As far as power goes, that is really up to the person and what they are going to use the car for. In either car power was just ok. I did headers, rockers, and a tuner on the Z and cam, home pocket port, and exhaust to the GT plus gears like in the Z. Only then did they start to make me happy. Wrenching on the GT was easier and cheaper for me than the Z and seeing how the 94-95 Mustang that this guy wants still has the same 302 as my 87 had, I can understand why he would want to go with the Mustang.

Stop trying to be a chevy recruiter and let him make his decision based on what will suit him, not you and the cookie cutter crowd.

Why build a 383 shiby when Ma Mopar built the 383 the right way from the factory?

and driving a mustang gets you out the cookie cutter group? I'll believe that when me #### turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbert. I think already having a 30 h.p. advantage would be a good reason to take one side over the other. The only advantage the mustang has is that it weights about 230 lbs less.

And right there is 20hp sapped in weight. So now we are down to a 10hp difference and I dont have to bash the nose in or #### foot into and out of driveways.

Cookie cutter, eh maybe, guess Ford has the better idea. Dont see any new camaro rolling off the line for a while now.

yes, but the LT1 also has 30 ft lbs of torque to work with also, which will make up that weight pretty easy. Torque is something mustangs have always lacked. And I have rode and drove most every generation of camaro, and you are making it seem like they are alot harder to drive that they really are.

Piss on 4th gen camaros, they look like bloated geo storms.  Yes they're faster stock, but you can only put so much lipstick on a pig.  I say go for it, and this is comin from a camaro guy.
