I am not really convinced I will sell it, but I have budget (because of wife, you know how it is) I can spend on buying a another car and the right offer will get you the keys. I really want to build another one, the 5.0 is pretty much max as far as mods can go for a street car. Hell the brakes system alone was $4,000, Rotora big brake kit front and rear and all the supporting hardware, 33 spline 5-lug axles, the works. The thing is, my wife drives it more than me and it just sets in the garage. I will not sell it to a younger kid because for one, they would kill themselves in it and another it is in prestine condition. Blue book on it is only around $5,000, I will ask for alot more than that, in the automotive community I am pretty sure I will somewhat get what I am asking because of all the goodies and upgrades on it. The only thing I think some people may not like is the Carbon Fiber Hood, most "American Muscle" car guys associate Carbon Fiber as "Ricer stuff". But ohwell, the hood weighs only 6 lbs and it looks good, it is a tasteful OEM type, just Carbon Fiber instead of fiberglass or aluminum or metal, to me just looks better. Considered a trunk lid, but that is going to far with a Mustang, I will admit that. I say all of this now, but every time I crank it up and drive it, I think to myself, NFW I'm selling it, but then again, money talks. And I do have another car, not as popular, but just as fast.

Yea, I've got pictures, but I'll have to wait til tomorrow...my computer skills are right up there with my ability to pee while standing. In other words, I'll have to get a computer savvy friend to send them, cause I don't know how...

Austin, TX. My "home track" is San Antonio Raceway. We do have alot of bone head kids in there mom's Civics. We also have a few of the 3 pack-a-day Vette drivin 40 something year old guys that can't get there own cars to run but have plenty of advice for me (and everyone else). I hear ya barkin'. I do wish the idiots would stay home, and quit ruining it for the rest...yes even the handful of imports that are there to run, not there to show off their underglow. As for teaching...most of them don't care that they are causing delays. I will also admit that last weekend there were 3 Fox body cars that couldn't get there *** together either. A few weekends ago our track ran 2 lanes for general test n tune and a lane for slick cars running a pro tree. It was awesome. I could actually run with some faster cars, practice on a pro tree (instead of the 3 count) and get some real "tuning passes" in. I wasn't stuck in line with all the newbies while they roll thru the lights, back up, yada, yada, yada...all the while my slicks are getting cold...(unfortunately if I don't get a fairly quick launch while my tires are still hot, the car boils the tires on the launch instead of hooking up) It also afforded me the time to get to my trailer, check a spark plug, play with my shift light, adjust my stall...etc. I'm running a fresh 408 stroker that still needs tuning. I'm trying real hard to get it ready for the Clash of the Titans series which begins April 23 in Oklahoma...there alot to figure out before then. Aahhh, racing. If it wasn't always down to the wire it would lose part of it's appeal. BTW...I've never driven anything that "corners". The spooled drag car doesn't know what corners are. My other functioning vehicles are an F250, a Dodge Dakota, and a 72 Chevy PU. In the past...lots of other trucks, a 69 Camaro...and, well, a bunch of other things that corner like a lead brick. Sooo, if your ever in South Texas, maybe...just maybe...you could convince me to enjoy your style of racin'. Til then, keep it up...and I promise not to dog ALL imports...just some of em. Oh yea, I hate those stupid weed eater tips, too...do you have one on your car? If yes...WHY???

My exhaust is a 3inch down pipe, no cat, a Borla 3inch piping back to the bumper with a HKS muffler. I also hate the Autozone buzz mufflers. You being a racer, you know that a turbo car sounds alot different than say a Civic with a buzz muffler. All you hear anyway on my 240 is the wastgate hissing and then the bov, my exhaust is really pretty quiet. Where ever you go you will have bone heads driving all kinds of cars anyway, I know that sucks. But most of the people who I cruise with are a little older than the track boneheads Civic driving wannabe, my crew's ages average from about 23 to about 40, I'm 27, we even have a 52 year old with a sick ass 04 Cobra that runs low 11's. Of course the fastest car in the group is my friend'S Hennessy TWIN TURBO Vette, again I say -DAMN!! But crusing around town in a 20-25 car leg is awesome, you should really try it, really. Having a trailer queen-no #### race car is awesome but I move (Transfer) every three years and a fast street car just makes more sense for me.

Your car sounds pretty nice...it is far from the typical import I am used to seeing around here. Unfortunately the group of cars I see cruising together thru Austin on Saturday nights are all the underglow having, buzz tip sporting idiots. Maybe they should take a road trip to your area and learn what their cars could be...
BTW, you mentioned suspension in your first response to me, so I'll clarify a little for you, just so you have an idea of what I've got out back.
Wild Rides upper/lower control arms, reinforced battle boxes(of course) QA1 10-way adjustable shocks, Competition Engineering anti-roll bar and coil springs, Spooled 9", nodular case, Moser 31 spline axles and 4:10's.
The rest of the car sports just as many mods...don't know that you're interested.
Ahhh, look at that, I can be nice!!! (it surprises me, too!)

Yea, it's nice but not in the plush, easy riding, bumping stereo kind of way. It's interior is a full cage, two red momo seats, no carpet, basic cd player with two 6x9's in a box. With electronics gauges everywhere to monitor my very expensive power plant. The car itself is only worth maybe $3,500, just like my 5.0, but under the hoods of both are two very impressive motors. You were speaking of the battle/torq boxes in your foxbody, those things are netorious for self distructing under alot of power. Steeda and Kenne Brown makes good replacements. Your running a 4:10 gear, I'm running a 3:73 with a Eaton. Wanted to do the whole rear end with Moser, but the funds kinda got stretched at the time. Eaton is pretty good though, I 've only broke it 1 time. The coilovers are a little harsh, but I also have sway bars, subfram bushings in the rear, rear upper and lower contrtols arms and torq arm, in the fron I have HKS upper and lower ball joints, Nismo front stabilizer arms, HKS front frame brace, fender/frame braces, front and rear strut tower bars (Greddy) and every suspension peice has pillow-ball joints not bushings. I don't ANY polyurythane bushings, they are all pillow ball joints. I have alot of raod noise, but hey it is a street car. It rides stiff, but I can read the cars every movement and I know exactly what the car is thinking when drifting or hanging a hard corner. The suspension is really more tuned than the damn motor! I believe a good suspension is the heart of any car, not just springs, but the suspension as a whole. I replaced literally every piece of my suspension before the motor was even touched, it took me about a year, coilovers here, tie rods there, you know it goes. It road funny for while until my suspension "settled in", but I did place second behind a Porshe in a road course last month, I was on his bumper in the twisties and around the cones, but the 1/2 mile back strectch, to my suprise, he was able to reach 150 or so really quik. Come to find out he has a Sneaky Pete system under his damn seat, you believe that crap. It was legal, the only rules was you had to have a helmet and tape up your headlights for saftey purposes.

Dude,
You must be in the wrong forum. Surely there's a blinged up rice box forum with your name on it somewhere. Leave us and our pushrod loving souls alone. We wouldn't want any of our gearheadism infecting you. Liking musclecars isn't cool at the jr. high lunch room table, and we wouldn't want you to become unpopular. Jim
