You just have to remember that the reason that people hate the imports is because of movies like Fast and furious and 2f2f. That #### is for the birds. Also, many people still don't know that many a Toyota and Honda, and Nissan are designed, manufactured and assembled right here. Hence the reason that Tundras are in Craftsman truck(and winning). Keep racin!

I agree on the movie thing.  The ONLY things that was good in the first one is the girls! Damn!!  The cars where sweet too, but the movie itself sucked.  The second one just straight up sucked.  One thing tho, in the second one, the EVO8 that was in it was damn near completely stock under the hood and there is no way in hell it would have beat that Yanko like that.  But, that 97 Supra in the first movie would have dominated EVERY CAR in the second film (Except one), too bad they did not use it.  Also it was WAY stupid of them to take him out of that Silver SKYLINE and stick him in that EVO8, I could not figure that one out, there is NO comparison between them.  That charger in the first film was awesome, but the Supra would be a better car for "Street racing purposes".  The tundra trucks are good trucks, I agree, but I love the NISSAN Titan pick-up, just looks better and also has a 16V DOHC V/8.

Yea, Toyota is getting "REORGANIZED" like Dodge did back in early 92-93.  Also, Mazda is talking about re-introducing the RX-7(FD).  Since the RX-8(FE) is really just a "show car" more than a performance car, they are not selling like the RX-7's did, they cost more and are waaay slower.  Hell I have seen a S2000 eat those things for lunch, kind of disappointing.  Speaking of Honda, have you seen thier new full size pickup yet?  Kinda nice.  Still like the Titan best.

240sx's are the only Nissan's I have ever worked on.  I have never worked on any Toyota, are the Nissan's really that much of a b@#$h to work on?  I have heard that the Supra's 2jzgte is however a near perfect engine, is very complicated and complex.  I love to have one, but not being able to afford one more than likely saved me a lot of time and heartache.  The most complicated engine I have personally worked on is a 4.6 DOHC 32V 04 Mach 1 motor, Damn!!  My friend had too big of a nitrous shot (200-shot) he ran it three times, the quickest being 11.00 flatt, and on the fourth run, well you can guess what happened.  He made  it part way through second gear and then he had a dented hood and the right side fender had a hole in it.  He was sick as hell, I just laugh and told him "told you so", after I returned to the pits.  He was hating it because my 93 fox body was kicking his new Mach 1's ass.  Now, it is a different story, he bought his big bad self a BLOWZILLA, the shakerhood had to go away, but he should be in the 10's.

It just seems to me that all automakers save toyota, think of any kind of service to their vehicles as an afterthought. Having to remove the intake plenum to do the plugs? The starter? These engineers are only being paid to make them easy to assemble, not work on.

I agree to that.  Both of my cars, the 5.0 and the S13 have ALOT of after market electronics onboard, if one of those #### the bed, I am more than likely walking home.  But when it is online, it is nice to be able to control all parameters of the engine, fuel, boost control, timing and suspension (EDFC, ELECTRONIC DAMPING FORCE CONTROLLER - TEIN-).  I have all that on both, except the 5.0, Tein does not make anything for the Fox bodies, it has QA1 Coilovers.  Both are no-#### qualified for Time-Attack competition, with my Toyo Proxes RA-1 Tires strapped onto my  Volk Wheels.  The beauty about that is the 5.0 and the S13 have the same bolt pattern!!  5x114.3, I love that ####!!!!!!!!!!

In:  Smoking every import I ever lined up against
Out:  Imports drivers that can't burn out, pre-stage, stage, launch...
In:  falling asleep waiting for imports to stage, and still smoking 'em every single time
Out:  The lack of competition
In:  The white slip  (that would be the one that goes to the fastest car...I assume you've probably never seen one)
Out:  Weed eater sounding *** crap
In:  Low 10's, all motor
Out:  waiting for you to complete your 14 second pass so I can have my turn.
In:  pullin the wheels on the launch
Out:  going on and on to an import guy who will never know what it feels like to man a 2800 lb car thats got 700 ponies under the lid.
In:   Being a chick with a helluva fast car.
Out:  You, if you line up against any american made muscle.

2800 lbs
low 10's all motor
low 8's on the bottle
pulls the wheels 18 inches off the ground every single time
160+ mph in a quarter
not an import on the whole scene can even come close
don't sound so bitter...
someday, when you think you can handle it, you'll step up, too.
until then, if you're OK with 10's (which by the way, I seriously doubt you've ever seen) stick with your import.
I'll be watching for you in the rear view of my Stang

You just wasted all that time and energy, If your car runs anywhere near the low 9's or even 8's, I am sure your car is a trailor queen.  Can you drive your car to San Diego to Norfolk with no issues?  I don't think so, and also, MY 240 IS NOT A QTR MILE DRAG CAR, IT IS A STREET CAR, did you understand that Lisa Kubo wannabe.   Bring your car to the races we do and it will be on its roof in no time, you have a drag launch kit right?, I have coilovers with 32 way adjustibility, caster and camber adjustment, you have what, 90/10 shocks?  Anyway, I do have a American Muscle car too, 93 fox body that runs mid 10's, so KMAB.  They both have been in Super Street together back in August 2003, they are on a Vivid race video, been to NOPI twice and won 2nd with the 5.0 in race/show car.  MOW, MOW........ Have a good day, you know your friend is coming soon.

"...pulls the wheels 18 inches off the ground every single time..."

My guess is we have a poser here.  Why, do I say this?  Because I know of no racer who boasts about lifting his/her wheels 18" every single time.  It's wasted energy and actually slows the car.  A real racer would correct the problem.

zactly,I'm no top dog on the racing scene but dad-gumit I'm havin fun.    My little Malibu  runs high 10's with a normaly aspirated 355, no hi-tech ****,just good ol' American HP.I have no gripes about those little motors with big hearts, and no plans to change mine.Posers kill me though,4 cyl. or otherwise. There is a Honda at Bowling Green,Ky. that runs 9's, my hat is off to him, but don't bring a 16 sec. car and talk ****. All in all if it's fast I like it ,if it's loud I love it and if it's American I'll salute it. GOD BLESS AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!!!!
