hahaha what an 8500 rpm spoon engine making a whopping 250hp ( as ive said before and say again FORD and other people have been using #### DOHC on V8s and race cars since the 60s that made 500 hp this is not new god you guys are stupid) and quite possibly a 6000 rpm push rod big block making 750 ? wow I dunno if ive ever seen a 6000 pnd car, a big truck with maybe 5 people in it though... you are not very bright your 240 "SuX" does not handle better than a 911 and for retrospect... my friends 69 stingray has IRS.. my 88 Tbird has IRS... a 79 trans am had 4 wheel disc brakes how is this so extrodinary hey lets pay 30K for a used supra turbo makin 300 hp not a bad car... but its not a spaceship my friend, im trying to think my friends 92 240 makes what like 140 hp ? or something how is that so amazing... youre retarded and just about above as a sidenote... it doesnt matter how high your engine can rev... if it has nothing to do with building torque which horsepower is a product of it doesnt mean anything... im pretty sure the big block would be more sufficient about moving a car along, nothing to do with how high its revving WHERE YOU MAKE THE POWER A HOLE And how broad your range is depending on what the engine is built for

Not nitpick, but ford used SOHC in the 60's. Not DOHC. It was the 427 "cammer" with a sohc. If memeory serves those cammers wound out to almost 8 grand, and pushed over 700 horse. Then i believe nascar banned it because it was kickin too much a$$. Anyways, i agree there's nothing new about ohc, or many of the other import stuff that they claim is so great. Wasn't fuel injection around in drag racing long before it became main stream? Weren't turbos being used long before they were put on little motors? Of course they don't wanna hear that. Mitch So what if you have more Horsepower per liter, I've got more Horsepower per car!
Yeah, I've got a turbo.......Transmission

yes thats true and you could get one in a galaxie 500 XL : )
But for racing they Did use DOHC V8s as a matter of fact mario andretti use to race a Turbo DOHC Ford in the early days but anyways the point is we know thats 30 + years on american soil what pisses me off is they think that EFI and DOHC we are oblivious to, and that when its on little 2 liters it owns us or something.... but whats funny is 80% of the V12s that go into italian midengine exotics are OHV but you don't hear them bashing those heh but they will bash a N/A carbed OHV V8 making in your words " more horsepower per car" haha and then usually the big argument they can conjure up is " fuel economy" well again you need more fuel for more performance but hey... anyone in here with a big block that gets 14 mpg on the highway on a good day have any complaints to the feeling of punching the petal ?

Yeah i'll stick to my pushrod motors too. I think the only thing i'd take with dohc would be a new cobra. 12's stock and 500 horse with some bolt ons, can't complain a bit. Even if it is fuel injected. BTW you should see the look on ricer's faces after you tell them that turbo line. It's damn funny. Mitch So what if you have more Horsepower per liter, I've got more Horsepower per car!
Yeah, I've got a turbo.......Transmission

Blah,Blah, Blah,First of all,ChevellE is spelled with an E stoopid, or are you too lazy to press the key again? while you're sitting there waiting for your 50cc engine to build boost, my out dated weenie small block is rattling your L.E.D's off of your windshield washers, at 5500 on the stutter box.Yeah they're, big they're loud and they're old, but that's why we love em'.So go out and buy some more fake pedals and goofy wings (which serve no purpose) and I'll see you at the strip.

I love the 4th gen F-Bodies, but I like road racing better than qtr mile. It is more competitive and is actually alot harder.
I guess you've never tried racing in NHRA STOCK class.

Out: Stupid tuners putting phoney In and Out list on a muscle car forum.
In: before I had a chance to respond, he was already put to shame.(good work guys)
by the way, how can you not like the new corvette? 400 h.p., enough power and decent enough gas milage that you can have a lead foot. the best part is that there's 500 h.p. models coming.

All you guys are soooo stupid! Chevale, chevellle, chivele, chevelle, who gives a ####. It's big, it's ugly, you cant do anything with but drag race it. There is more to racing than going straight for a 10-13 seconds. Did you guys even know that the "NHRA" is being butted out by the "IDRA" because of the of the sudden populartity of the "other" car scene. Hell, Toyota is now in NASCAR, Nissan is on the way. And that crack about LED HOOD LIGHTS, I am not a #### ricer you damn redneck. I do have a wing, and they do serve a purpose, why do you think the nascars have them you stupid ####? Have ever been at 173 mph in a 2600lbs car? Before the wing the car felt it was not very stable above 150. I am not the everyday Civic owner with his moms car, I have a NO-#### race car, actually 2 of them. Do not mistake the real racers for the #### posers you guys try to pick on while driving your Chevettes around town eating nachos and drinking beer while your wife is flashing her sagging tits. DOHC-CHICKENHAWK, yes, same person. Go to a import show, you will see the difference between the posers and the real men. I did have respect for the "now struggling" muscle car guys. They are gone, and soon, you will be gone too. And don't say the new vettes and the viper are muscle cars, they are not, they are EXOTICS And the new gto, the gt stang are all technology cars. They have been put into a whole new category by the North American Sports Car Association (NASCA). Movies like Fast and the Furious IS NOT WHAT THE IMPORT SCENE IS ABOUT, that is #### hollywood. Most of the import guys/girls I hang with have a domestic and an import, I for one have a 11 sec 5.0 and a 10 sec 240sx. Both daily drivers. I piss off alot of people at the track with thier non-street legal, tubbed out, rollbar trailer queens running 10's when I DRIVE FROM HOME, my 10 second import and bust thier ass. Ther are like hey man, you have a 350 in that thing? And it boggles thier mind when I pop the hood and shove a 2.0 liter motor in thier face. They can't understand it, I love it. Peace, you stuck in the 80's hoes..

Ok if you want attention you should go call mommy don't post an import car bull #### in and out list on the car craft website. If you want to insult us beat us at the drag strip (not likely) and by the way chevelle has an E on the end of it. oh and the supras were made tell 98 not 97 and was made in *** a lot longer so know your #### or don't talk

Damn your a retarded ####. yes there is more to racing that going straight, thats why there is a road course and drifting. but most of the people in this forum dont want to do that, they want straight line speed. so we dont give a #### if your car can corner, thats not what all of us are here to do. NASCAR has wings to keep the downforce on the REAR wheels, where the power is transmitted. How do you find a real man in an import show, dont you feel goofy getting into some of those things? How do you call muscle cars struggling? Have you seen the boom in the muscle car buisness lately? Imports are fairly dead. How do you call the vette an exotic? blah blah about the body style, its still powered by a pushrod v-8, still rear wheel drive, and still kicks ricer ass. fuel injection was also an american innovation. same for the viper. come on really, did you actually think when you typed that? What is the import scene all about then, I still fail to find anything other than that all they want to do is make noise. How much do you have in each car. How fast exactly does each run in quarter? And if your 240 is so fast, did you enter in the pump gas drags?
