Hey guys... I am trying to sell a 1967 Ford F750 with a 390 4v and 5 speed manual tranny. The only problem is that its a fire truck and not a regular truck... lol... I am selling the truck on behalf of my department because we no longer have a need for it and it has been sitting for the last ten years and needs to be moved out to make room for a new vehicle. Any ideas on where I could sell it? There doesn't seem to be too much of a market on ebay for it, and it hasn't pumped water in a while. It only ahs 22k miles on it, and is all original. In order to get rolling again I know it would need batteries, tires, brakes, and I'm sure a tune up. any help would be great! Thanks guys!

OH BTW The truck is on the south eastern tip of Chicago and here are some pics.

out here in los angeles  i have seen old city and country units used for 3K. in the truck trader....   i would think that some of the smaller towns in the midwest that have been pounded by tornados and lost equipment would like a low mileage unit...  or some of the towns that kit by hurricanes...  lots of those ....

i thought instead of disposing of third line equipement  just prior to retirement  would be a good thing to use for mutual aid firefighting.,..  here we send front line units out of local firehouses and reassign trucks to spread out to cover the city...

i would imagine that a grant from homeland security administartion would be available to maintain third line equipment in a secured storage building for  dispatching to small towns to cover and replace equipment that has been damaged until replacement units could be ordered...

my idea here that fell on deaf ears also included tie downs to the slab to stop the trucks from bouncing around if the expected  earthquake happens.. .
