I build them. I havent built one for about a year. I'm pretty much a pro at it haha. I've made a few custom ones from scratch, like the 454 SS truck that i put a Don Garlits fueler engine in and complete sus[ension from a NEXTEL cup car. wow im a loser. Objects in Mirror Appear To Be Losing

I think every true car guy started out with plastic, some just choose to contunue. I built models up untill a few years ago (I'm 29 now) when I developed a problem with my hands that just don't let me do the fine detail work anymore.
And I know it can be every bit addictive as the real thing. Once I built a '93 F-150 kit into a pro-street, buying probably 6 or more other various kits just for a small part, hitting the hobby-shop for custom pieces, and sctratch building quite a few also. It had wires, belts, hoses, REAL billet accesiories, I spared no detail on it. When it was done I had nearly $500 wrapped up into that $8 kit!! But also when it was done, it literally looked like someone had shrunk a real truck. I ended up selling that one at a model show for $800.
I really wish I could still do them!

Ofcourse, I did when I was a kid but, I started back up in my mid 20's. Had a 10 year break from it but, am at it again. I have a bunch of Pontiacs and Oldsmobile models along with a Buick and a Chevy.

I build them when I have extra time. Unfortunately that's not too often. I've got a '70 challenger and a '70 nova waiting to be put together. Mitch "I'm a Mean Machine, Drinking Gasoline and Honey you can make my motor run"-Guns and Roses

i did one of my Cougar when i was testing out its paint scheme. after i painted the car i displayed it under the back glass of the real car. it melted and deformed. looks like the mini car was in a rollover now.

Not for the last 3 years...got married, had a baby, bought a friggin' house. Jeez. My current project (currently waiting for me...) is a 96 Ram that I'm infusing parts from the Budwieser top fuel car into. It's coming out good (If I ever get around to working on it again). Details that I'm especially proud of are the center arm rest that I lowered, (it was up in the bench position as cast) and the engine fittiment and wheel tubs. Gettin' all exited now, the baby's in bed, wife's at work, hmmm...... Beer, it's what's for dinner.

Hmm,I'd buy one of those, heheh. I've been putting models together since I was a little kid,and still try to when i get the time.I have a bunch half done, and some I didn't even start yet.Sometimes I find one that's so cool I have to build it right away.As for the dude looking for a Nova model, check ebay dude! I can't recall the actual name of the kit but it was a drag car and it was real cool.I'm a Mopar guy,but I think one of my faves has to be the Monogram '66 Malibu with the straight axle and flip nose.I bet I've had 4 of em! When I was a kid,I wanted to work at the junkyard when I grew up.
