is this worth anything its at a local scrap yard headed to the crusher when they get to it it looks like a late 80s -93 its a tan color with the same interior butthe cab was smashed on it (they usually have normal s-10s with regular cabs laying around) i need answers before the crusher moves in they dont save anything the only thing that tipped me off were the laredo badges i dont know if it came like that or not if it was a 94 it would be on my lawn but unless its rare my lawn sits empty

You found an S-10 Laredo!?!?!?

Those things fall somewhere between a Tucker Torpedo and a Ford Thunderbolt in the pantheon of collector cars.  You need to grab it and begin your full restoration immediately.  Make sure you keep the numbers-matching 2.8 V6.  You're gonna be able to retire on this one my friend.

i think im going to puke it turns out it was crushed 3 hours after i left i had a gut feeling i should grab it while i was there but the smashed roof scared me away hopefully somone else discovered it and realized the parts were worth something before it was smashed it might still be there but it would be flat and usless the funny thing is the rednecks who brought it in almost ran me over because it was windy and i was looking down  but then again i also had the thought some idiot found laredo badges off a jeep or something because i couldnt find anything about it well i probably wouldve stupidly  ripped the v6 out at the yard for a v8 well i think i need a psycyatrist now that i missed my cance at a rare vehicle but they dont collect paperwork there so it wouldve been hard to figure out how real it was and on top ofthat i had to get a new username because my old one wouldnt work

Dude, that was one mother of a run-on sentence! I think you're safe on that...I'm pretty sure the Laredo trademark was kept to the Jeepsters.

Just keep watchful; those S10s are everywhere; I'm sure one without a crushed cab will pop up for you shortly. Good luck!

CSIROC:

Fie on that, I traded my S-10 Blazer for 2 cases of beer.  That, my friend, is value.

Very true...though he would have had to buy it...then traded it for the beer...not sure if he'd come out ahead on that or not.

Anyway...its not nearly as bad as my best friend in high school passing up on a 69 Chevelle SS396 4 speed car (this was about 4 years ago).  Original drivetrain was replaced by a 350/auto combo, most of the panels had rust, and the interior was not in the best of shape (though it was liveable).  Car was $1000.  And it was a legit SS396 4-speed car.  It was in good enough shape he could have fixed it up as he drove it in highschool (unlike my Cutlass...which  couldn't be driven until it was done...halfway through college).  I still give him #### about that.  Actually had my dad known that my best friend was not going to buy it...my dad would have.

Oh well...everyone has stories about the one that got away
