I am just curious what everyone thinks about the show pinks? I don't mind watching pinks all out but the regular pinks just seems to be all about ego trips, lies, and alot of unsportsman like racing if you can even call it that.  

hmmm... unsportsman like conduct??? if you think you car is part of your ego...
just think of the show in england where you can win a new car... ... you have to bet your car.... you win... you get a new car... you loose ... your car goes to the crusher... live on camera...    

look at the more of the shows on tv.. take a piece of junk yard scrap... patch it up... put in a decent engine... and auction it off for tons of money...

there was one show where the employees were really not even trained mechanics..  just guys off the street and did not know really anything.. grade 2 hardware... wire welding the filler neck in the gas tank...  after 3 trys to get a new tank with a filler neck...  most dont come that way....  makes me want to puke...



decades ago... there was a young man ... he wore sweater vests... and always got to the street races early...  parked his 65 buick special in a dark spot... would always stand back and let other people brag on their cars...  then say how he had gotten payed today and he had his moms car and would like to race..  when they ask what kind of car... he pointed over at the 65 buick special... a deep red sort of color... the ego would think ... hmm 65 buick... 300 cubic inch V8, whimpee tranny... highway gears...... easy prey...

the money was locked up... and everybody walked to their cars... to drive to the race street... when the buick driver started he car ... the race was usually over...


what was under the hood of the buick was a big bad rat motor  .

i never knew the internals  of the motor... the headers it had were 2-1/4 primarys and a 4 inch collector split into 4 mufflers and it all painted black ,.  

I like Pinks All Out as well. Regular Pinks, Win the race and lose your ride could get people pumped up after all you do not want to loose. I think the show may want the competors to have lots of ego and attitude, for them it makes better T/V.  

I think pinks is a set up show. Maybe its not but it always seems to have favortism, the D-bag host is annoying and i personally dont think he knows jack about building cars or engines. Get a better host and lose the favorites and it would be ok. I would like to take my car there and run it on the show. 81 Z28, chevy 355 pushing 470hp, turbo 400 w 3500 stall  

I agree with that Pinks allout is good, but not the regular pinks...at times it does seem set up, and alot of those guys are cocky as hell...and rich christenson the host doesnt seem like he knows much about cars, but man you gotta love his enthusiasm, it can be quite funny...actually pinks is coming to my local track this July, so im gonna go check it out for sure, maybe even put my car in depending on whether or not its an allout  

I would rather watch days of our lives or as the world turns or maybe even dr. phil.  Its all set up and there is a script. The show that came on after pinks was kinda cool. They used of the street cars and trucks of all sorts with the owners driving them at the track. The contestants would have to guess on how fast the car was.  

I like to watch Pinks, and Pinks all out.  All the attitude aside, I really enjoy all the racing, and sometimes there are even some really good matchups.  I've been watchng as many as I can catch since the show started.  Kind of fills the need between times I can make the two hour trip to the nearest drag strip.  

I can't lie I still watch both of them haha. I do have to agree that the host doesn't seem to know alot about cars or how to ride a crotch rocket. I think pinks is th eonly car show I can watch with my girlfriend since she thinks the host has nice arms haha.
