Camaro lift kit

Hi all,

I am resstoring my 1968 Camaro and I want to give it that 60's gasser look.

In doing so, am planning to have the rear end lifted with air shocks and want the front end raised by putting stronger springs up front. I also read of older magazine articles where they used "lift kits" up front. These were spacers that went between the upper control arm and ball joint.

Does anyone know where I can find a lift kit for my Camaro.

antique auto and hot rod swap meets or ebay would be the most likly place..

if you live in or close to los angeles.. there are swap meets at the pomona fair grounds, the rose bowl, and at the long beach veterans stadium...these swap meets are specials for car stuff...

there is a magazine called drive.. and their web site is driveonline...available at most speedshops for free that lists the local rod runs and swap meets..

you can probably make some..

i seem to recall that cc or hr did a gasser type nova a few years ago..

Hey Ken,
Funny thing, I'm trying to do the very same thing to my 68 Camaro. Have you come up with anything yet? I contacted Universal Car Lifts and they said I could do a 3 inch spacer (Cup) under the coil springs but thought the would be slightly tipped. What size tires are you looking to run up front? I was going to go with 15x6 Cragar S/S with 215/70/15 BFG's. Do you know if a 225/70/15 will fit?
Thanks Ken,
Dana

I know J.C. Whitney use to have spacers that went between the upper control arm ball joint and the spindle.   Been a while since I've noticed them in the catalogs, though.

They also had extensions for the shocks to use with spacers.
