I like big blocks I mean small blocks have come a long way but a big block just has so much torque and hp just being a big block. I guess it really depends on what you want to do with the car. As long as it's 8 cylinders that's all that matters. My personal preference is big blocks. Maybe look into a 427 they tend to rev a little faster than 454s however if you do a 454 you can bore it into a 468!

Ya i really like the big blocks too... just love the deep rumble of the big blocks haha.... i just dont know how it will fit into the car and if a 400 turbo trans would fit in it...or if a 2 speed power glide would work better? i no i would have to beef the powerglide up but i love how you only shift twice... just kinda wondering if anyone has ever done this and had an feedback but thanks for the comment

If you want to get crazy with it take the body off the car and build a tubbed pro street chassis or order the jegster 12 point chassis and fit the body on there. The jegster 12 point.

they make a kit to put a big block in it.
hooker makes super comp headers for the big block.
a th400 is practicaly the same size as a th350 it will fit right in.
but tail shaft length will dictate weather you can use a th200r4's drive (some people call them the metric 200) shaft.
i forget witch tailshaft is the same length.
call a tranny shop, they should know for sure.
but a beefed up motor needs a beefed up trans. i found that out the hard and expensive way.
