Want Bigger Tires

I was following my wagon (being towed) to my buddies house to swap the engine when I noticed that there is quite a bit of room for wider tires in back.  It looks like the tires are pulled all the way in toward the body.   There has to be room for at least 3"-4" more rubber to fill the outer edge of the wheel well.
Has anyone stuffed bigger meats under a Caprice or Caprice wagon? It has a 7.5" rim  wide (15"). 5" bolt pattern, and I am running 235/75's now.
Just wondering if anyone knows how wide of a tire and 15' rim I stuff under there and what kind of backspacing I need to make it fit.
Thanks

It may not be the fastest or prettiest, but i can pretend

by the way.. what year is it... they made those for like 30+ years..

the best way is to measure it on a ramp lift... so the suspention is at ride height...

i also follow wagons around... and look at their tires and dream...

they usually have... the ones i am drooling over ... 445-35/24.5's  oh and the wagons are gas tankers...  i can envision them under the car... but how to get the driveshaft in and where to mount the springs or control arms... thats what i would call wall to wall tire....
