I am in the beginning part's of redoing my 70 chevelle.  My question is what is the best suspension to put under it.  It will be a "nice day" street car w/limited track use.  Any help would be appreciated.

If it's to be primarily a street car, stick with the stock-type suspension.  Replace all the bushings with polyurethane, add good gas shocks, and sway bars if you don't already have them.  You can also get srpings to lower it 1-2 inches.  This looks better and helps handling, and won't break the budget.  PST (Performance Suspension Technology)has everything you need.  Since it's not going to primarily be a race car, trick suspension parts would be a waste of time and money if the engine power isn't there to take advantage of them.  For strip use, you can just put on sticky tires and loosen the front sway bar to help launch.

Gotta agree, best thing you could do is rebuild the stock suspension with better parts. Polygraphite bushings, big front sway bar, new springs, etc. Do the same thing out back, and your Chevelle will handle great for a street car.
