i was wondering if anyone knew if a 4l60e would still shift if it wasnt plugged in?Im looking to put it in a car but dont have the money to send out the harness and computer from my lt1 yet to be reworked.Any elp would be great

You'll burn it up! You also need to make sure the throttle cable is adjusted properly or the line pressure will be all screwed up! TCI and other companies have a kit to put one in a street rod. Makes it stand alone.

You need some kind of control module.  You might as well throw it in the scrap heap if you don't hook one up.
