Does anyone know if anyone is re-producing 1967 - 1969 Rambler American dash pads? I know some places can restore them but it seems to be really costly.
Thanks!

there are ways to recover it yourself....
leveling the cracks with a cutter.. filling the cracks with a proper sandable foam...
spraying the proper glue over the surface and streaching a new cover over it.... it takes several people and a rigid mounting of the dash on a work table...
many places use a large frame to hold the material tight... a radiant heater above it.. and a vacuum table below... so one it gets plyable it gets dropped over the dash and vacuumed down around all the openings.. probably over a fresh coat of adhesive... when i restored cads.. we tryed a few 59 dashboards.. way too complacated...

Did you check one of those outfits? Unless they are doing it, I know of no source reproducing the pads.Apparently there are detail differences between '67 and '69 and therefore, the reasoning has been there isn't enough individual demand- year by year to make the different versions. That is a weak logic as the differences aren't so radical as to not answer the continual demand that I've know of for ten years.
