I have a 1952 Buick Special and I was wanting to swap the rear end to get rid of the troque tube driveshaft setup. Does anyone know if a 1969 chevy pickup rear end will fit or one from 1974 nova.

To make life easier on yourself, you need to find a leafpsring type rear if you can. The '69 truck rear uses coil springs, and will probably be way too wide.
My Dad and I have a '55 Chevy with a 12-bolt in place of the stock rear. Your best for for a rear is a 9-inch from a '58-'59 Ford, or a 10-bolt (8.5" ring gear) or 12-bolt from a '70-'72 GM A-body car. The Nova rear might work, but a bit on the narrow side.
What you need to so is measure everything on your car's stock rear, including how much space you have between the tires and the fenders.
Measure backing plate to backing plate and use that as your base measurement for finding a rear that'll fit.

I actually found out that an S10 rear end is suppose to bolt straight into a Buick without any modification. I haven't had a chance to actually measure the Buick, but it will be pretty close to the s10's 48 inches from backing plate to backing plate. Thanks for the advice in case it doesn't work.
