First things first, you should have created a new thread for your query. Even though this thread was going nowhere, in terms of message board etiquette it is rude to hi-jack someone else's thread for your own question. I will give a suggestion but only because this was your first warning...

Pull that cylinder head and check the head gasket. See if it's ruptured or has been lifted somewhere. Either there  could be a burn trail to a water jacket or some steam could've cleaned an area leading from a water jacket to a combustion chamber. If you see no signs of a head gasket failure I would thoroughlly inspect the cylinder to see if I could see any visible cracks. Then a magnaflux and pressure check from a machinist if your problem still isn't solved...

hey silver 67 either your block is cracked or you have a bad head gasket if the block is cracked check the oil there'll be a lot of water in it the oil will also be milky looking u can also do a leakdown to see if it is leaking between cylinders check the radiator also it will most likley have oil in it

yeah, i got a tach and my engine revs higher now. i bet a chrome dipstick for my trans will make it better than a high stall converter would!!!
then theres thet troll, silver67 with his trailer queen camaro that has water in the "cyclinder". he needs some header wrap. that'll solve his problem.
