I have some Lincoln calipers and brackets that I would like to put on a Chevy 12bolt truck rear end. Can Ford axle ends be swapped(welded) on to the Chevy rear and eliminate the c-clips at the same time?

have ford axles resplined/redrilled to match chevy stuff.or just get aftermarket axles.
